The teams with one competent big starter, like that Clips team with Vaught or the Bulls one with Kukoc as a stretch 4 are miles ahead of the Bobcats.
I think the 91-92 Wolves and that Mavs team from right after are solid competitors. The Bobcats are 6th in blocks (though they have a bunch from MKG) and only 2nd last in D-Reb% and EFG% against, so I'd probably say they're the 2nd or 3rd worst ever. Also, maybe Mullens stretching things out against the bigs stupid enough not to just let him shoot counts for a little something?

Sorry the #1 pick was promised to the Seattle Sonikings.
or how about the Seattle SuperKings?
Sounds like a pack of smokes.
And he's talking about Stun.

there is no shame in haslem. he has been a solid big for most his career. lots of teams would have enjoyed having him as part of a rotation 3-4 years ago. as a starter its a bit rough though.
that team also had beasly and marion who could slide to the 4 for long periods and a half of a season for jermaine oneal. they are nowhere close to worse frontcourt ever.
current bobcats would kill for 08-09 haslem.
cats frontcourt actually didnt crap their pants tonight. warrick with 15 and 5, haywood with 8 and 7 and adrien with 9 and 5. their best collective outing in a long long time.
Yeah I understand Haslem was good back then, just that Jamaal Magloire was that past his prime that it almost drags it low enough. Anyway he wasn't really getting starter minutes, Miami just threw a bunch of terrible centers out there to combine for 48 minutes that year.

I'm inclined to agree with the OP now that they have given up 10 and 6 to Greg Stiemsma in the first quarter.

Yeah then the Bobcats could start Noel and Biyombo and the games would be both teams scoring in the 50-60 pt range.

Re: Worst Frontcourt Since ABA Merger? Current Bobcats?
the worst frontcourt in NBA history strikes again
the bobcats have been outrebounded by 67 rebounds over their past two games.
vs jazz outrebounded 62 to 24, difference of 38 rebounds (4th worst in NBA history)
vs kings outrebounded 60 to 31, difference of 29 rebounds
2 game total = 122 to 55, for a difference of 67 rebounds over two games.
i'd be shocked if that two game rebound difference wasnt an NBA record.
