Yeah Wroten looks like the real deal. Particularly when he was on the floor with Conley and there wasn't any pressure on him to run sets.
A couple moments where you could tell he was a rookie - twice he tried to get a layup off that playground hopstep from the one side of the key to the other with plenty of big guys around the basket. Very few players can pull that off at the NBA level, and even fewer are guards. He's going to have to learn a tear drop or equivalent shot if he wants to score over 7 footers.
Bayless also looked good as a 2 guard, though he certainly cannot guard Bryant. As the season goes on, we should ask Wroten to take on those bigger 2-guards since he's three inches taller than Bayless with a good wingspan.
Luckily we've avoided more foul trouble after an ugly first quarter, and we've gotten a lift from our depleted bench. All 5 guys off the pine have played well.
