Watson

Jazz need to bench Watson and let Burks take back up point. If the Jazz were to play Burks and Carroll instead of Watson our lead would have not changed. He's a liability on both ends.

He just isn't good enough to justify being played over Alec.

Something is not right with Watson. That said despite the fact that Gordon had had his ups and downs his rookie year, last year and this year he always got his time and it has led him to become the player he is today.... Manu light and on the verge of perhaps full Manu. Burks had as much potential but doesn't get the time? Timing of where we were 3 years ago and last year and Gordon himself being further ahead have the most to do with it... But the Watson thing and the Carrol thing drive me crazy. Burks needs Kanter sized minutes guaranteed each night to develop like Hayward got. And he needs them at point! Gone are the days of the post entry passing pg, here are the days of drive and kick, p/r etc. Move him to the point and play him with Gordon and Foye.

I am disappointed they don't play Burks more. i am glad they are playing him at pg where I think he will be good. When Mo comes back, Burks will get no time. I don't understand Corbin on this one. He is the coach and maybe he sees something I don't see.

I dont understand it either. I think the Jazz need to shake things up and ship out Earl and Bell for free. Or buyout Earls contract and have him agree to just be a coach, I think we could benefit from him as a coach more than a player. Have Tinsley/Burks run the point on the bench when Williams gets back. I think Burks could benefit from having Jamal help him at the point while they are playing together.

Besides for the Wizards game, Watson hasn't done anything good at all. I mean he doesn't even have a minimum, except "try and not turn over" and pass the ball to a guy who opens his own shot, giving you an assist that you had nothing to do with.....

Marvin is also pathetic. He has no 3pt shot, he doesn't rebound, and he doesn't do anything. I mean when Marvin is on the floor, you see him do nothing besides throw up a few 3pt's and just cover the other shooter. When Carroll is on the floor, you only notice him cause he is involved on almost every play on both sides, he can actually make 10 points a game. Marvins energy depresses this team, and Carrolls cranks it up to where it needs to be, which we really need in the 1st.

Watson is the same thing. There are guys who do his job better even though they aren't PG's. The only reason I want Mo back is to get a real PG on the bench with Tinsley!

My line ups: I just find it embarrassing and pathetic to have Carroll and Burks sit on the bench with DNP's or >15 minutes, while Marvin and Watson get 20+ minutes and start, and have automatic minutes every night, and they haven't improved at all, while these two guys were originally as good, and continue to get better...

Starters:
Tinsley
Foye
Carroll
Millsap
Jefferson

2nd Unit Rotations:
Burks
Hayward

Kanter

Just looking at January, its obvious to me to have Burks play. He is only getting minutes on the road, which is whack, especially when we lose two road games that he wasn't given the same minutes that he got when we won while he had 20+ minutes. I totally blame Watson and his minutes for those two losses, and more close call wins.

Burks normally hits 10ish points when given 20 minutes. He had to prove himself on road games, which he has helped us win. He doesn't have tons of assists in these games, but when you watch him you know that he isn't always the last guy to pass it, while Watson normally is, cause the ball usually only sees one person after it leaves Watsons hands.

Marvin looked great the first couple games.... what changed to make him not flow within the offense anymore?
