I agree, though Archie might be out of our range - unless we pull off a Deron Williams style draft-day miracle. That said, I'd be happy with Burke, McCollum, and especially Carter-Williams. I'd encourage anyone to read up on Carter-Williams's DraftExpress profile:

Looks like the guy is a very confident, effective distributor and facilitator which is, above all things, what would work for the Jazz. it doesn't hurt that he can turn on the scoring when needed, as well.

Never seen him play, but he looks like a bad shooter. We don't need a PG that can't shoot a jumper and his 3-pt shot is 27% which is even worse than Burks # was his last year of college.

I like that he is a distributor as you describe, but these days we need a PG that can shoot well too imo.

I do like his size, thats a big plus, but i cant get past the shooting.

Guards who can score, distribute, defend and shoot go in the top 5. If I had to give up one of those qualities to take a guard in the mid-first, it would definitely be shooting. I think shooting is far easier to improve once you get to the pros than those other qualities. Defense can be improved, but the physical tools have to be there.

My main criticism of the Jazz's draft strategy is we focus too much on "polished" players who don't have the upside to become the all-star or cornerstone we need. See taking Kosta Koufos right before Serge Ibaka. Although Kosta is turning out to be a decent center, this was when the team was starved for shot-blocking.

mccollum is intriguing... judjements on drafts are influenced by the top1-top2 picks. We won't have a top 1 or top 2 pick, so the jazz are less concerned

Well it looks like a lot of them are coming out of our range. These guys in the teens are now becoming more top 10 picks.

Burke, Goodwin and McCollum, would be awesome to swoop up. But I think Jazz are capable of trading in the off season to move up and get someone like Carter-Williams. He is exactly the type of player we would want from the draft. Mo is cool, but I want a young guy to come in like Lillard did for Portland. Even GS's Barnes is awesome.

As of right now, we are too good to end up getting a lower teen pick. Were getting so good that we might not even get a teen pick. It says were at 17 now, while GS's pick is around 24.

I think our best shot is probably Trey Burke, and possible McCollum. I don't see us getting a shot either Goodwin or Carter.

I like the depth in this draft more than the top level talent, which bodes well for the Jazz who'll have 2 picks 15 or later.

3-4 good PG's to chose from, and some solid bigs that could be bench guys behind Favors and Kanter going forward.

Burke
Canaan
Kabongo

Plumlee
Olynyk
Leslie
Young

Would love to see the Jazz nab one from each list.

Doug McDermott is going to move up. Reminds me a lot of a young Matt Harpring. He moves constantly, posts up well, finishes around the rim, and has an awesome shot. We could git him at the end of the first round with the Warriors pick. I don't think he will fall into the second round. He would play a 3 in the NBA instead of a PF. 6'8" with a great shot.

Trey Burke is the PG in the draft I like that I think is attainable with our pick. Might have to move up a little with a trade.
