Cho drafts for talent and trades for need. Noel is definitely an option.?

And where has that gotten us? the worse team in the league 2 years running and still lacking for talent. we need a frontcourt player that can score the only way the bobcats draft Noel is if we are force too by draft position.

Cho's been on board for 2 drafts, taken Kemba, MKG, and Biz. I'd say that's pretty good. We're building.

I would take McLemore, but that's just me, because I think he and Kemba with MKG could be deadly in the backcourt and on the wings. For the bigs, we will have to wait, but definitely may be able to get something out of the PDX pick, someone who can rebound or has a post game.
Who I woulda took:
2023: Miller | 2022: Duren | 2021: Bouknight, Jones | 2020: Ball | 2019: PJ | 2018: MPJ | 2017: Monk | 2016: Damian Jones | 2015: Winslow | 2014: Vonleh, Napier | 2013: McLemore | 2012: MKG | 2011: Knight, Kawhi

So it's Muhammad/McLemore or bust for me right now.

Monta Ellis, Nick Young, OJ Mayo, Kevin Martin, and JR Smith

Crazy and undersized, chucker, overrated, not good enough, and effing crazy as hell.
Out of that bunch, only Ellis and maybe Mayo are good enough but by no means do I want to build a playoff roster around them.

I've noticed Anthony Bennett's struggles. I'll be watching him tonight as well. The last two games I watched I've seen the opposing teams zone Bennett with a defender fronting the post and the back. If we had a scorer in our frontcourt that demanded that much attention we would be absolutely dangerous.

Len has been disappointing of late, so Bennett is now my 5th prospect (largely by default). I like his game, love the LJ nostalgia but he's of that "Tweener" type that I've become wary of. Guys like Derrick Williams and Thomas Robinson certainly aren't helping him. Heck, just look McAdoo; he broke out as a potential top 5 guy last year, stayed there this year, and then fell possibly out of the lottery. Bennett is one of those guys that I'd like to see a 2nd year of college ball from, he seems like a candidate to either underwhelm in the NBA or disappoint (a la McAdoo) in a second season.

Not wishing bad on the dude, I just feel like I've seen this movie already... For those that have seen him more, how does he compare to McAdoo LAST YEAR? Both received some top 5 buzz in their freshman years (McAdoo not as much, but last year's class was much stronger). I really wanna like this guy but I'm struggling so far.
Hornets Picks by Year
2021: Bouknight, Jones, Thor, Lewis

Protection on future 1st* (to NYK); 2nds
2022: 1-18; CHA (31-55), TOR 2 (55-60)
2023: 1-16; BOS (GH)
2024: 1-14; BOS (GH)
2025: 1-14; CHA (31-55)
*Becomes two 2nds if unconveyed

If we're re-branding back to the Hornets then Anthony 'Grandmama 2.0' Bennett would be a great way to refresh the image 8-)

Ben McLemore could be the next Kendall Gill?

I've seen just about every televised game of McAdoo's college career and I can tell you the most clearly obvious difference is Bennett actually has the ability to score in high volume from all over the floor. All JMM can do is brick short wing 12 footers.

Give JMM Bennett's offensive skill and he's in the argument for the #1 pick.

I'm turning my basketball focus away from the Bobcats in general to focus on upcoming draft prospects and Derrick Rose's return from injury. With that said tonight I'm going to tune in...

Shabazz Muhammad vs #6 Arizona @9pm EST, ESPN2

Anthony Bennett vs Wyoming @9:15pm EST, CBS Sports Network

Plus, I feel a lot more confident about Bennett playing 4 in the NBA than McAdoo. AB already has the mass/frame to handle his own. His physical makeup reminds me a lot of Zach Randolph. What worries me most about AB is his conditioning, it doesn't look that good and I think is partially to blame for his chitty transition D and lackadaisical rebounding.

Definitely watching the college games tonight but a big thanks to catch20two anyway for the thoughtful reminder.

With everything thus far im saying Bazz/McLemore

Zeller isn't worth a top 5 pick, Noel I don't think will ever be a dependable post threat, Bennett maybe.

Bazz and McLemore have more star potential I think, we desperately need some post scoring but we can't pass up on the best possible talent which is at the guard position.

McLemore is at the top of my list right now followed by Noel and Bazz. I really need to see more on everyone before I lock that in though.

If McLemore really is a young Ray Allen I don't know how you wouldn't want him on your team. Would be a great complement to Kemba and MKG.

Shabazz Muhammad is on a tear. He's scored 11 of UCLA's first 15 points in 5 minutes. Arizona only has 3 points right now. The #6 Arizona crowd is in shock.

Is it spot up shooting or is he creating his shot off of the dribble as well? The couple times I've seen him he seems as if he struggles off the dribble.

It's been spot ups, cuts to the basket, and fading shots in the post. He doesn't really ever take more than 2 dribbles when he get the ball often. I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing.

I think it means he needs to work on his ball handling, but hes still severely young. His shooting percentages this year are off the charts.
