Muhammad is a scoring machine but his teammates are selfish for no reason.

He reminds me a lot of Ben Gordon though.

Except Gordon doesn't have a 6'11 wing span. His body is off the charts for a SG.

Shabazz Muhammad reminds me nothing of Ben Gordon

Shabazz reminds me of a bigger Eric Gordon with less defense.

Do you have Foxtel, Shabazz is on ESPN2 at 1pm AEST

Very keen to get my first look at him

Cheers for that insight, no for foxtel for me :(

Now I know this it's under serious consideration.

Lol eh I think they're on the same tier defensively, also Muhammed can play both the SG and SF position.

Shabazz Muhammad is putting on quite the performance tonight against #6 Arizona. I'm sure his stock will rise after tonight. It's hard to watch UCLA though because outside of Muhammad the rest of the players on that team are as Charles Barkley would say "dumber than some damn rocks".

Shabazz looked good tonight. He's got a sweet back of tricks on offense, he can score in so many ways. Would be a huge boost to this team. He kind of reminds me of a bigger Michael Redd. His defense leaves a lot to be desired though.

Shabazz Muhammad - 23 PTS (8 for 16 shooting, 2-3 from 3PT), 3 REB, 1 AST

Anthony Bennett - 17 PTS (6 for 14 shooting, 1-4 from 3PT), 5 REB, 1 AST

I agree with BrotherDave in the essence that I believe Muhammed will be a Michael Redd with much better athleticism.

Bazz had a damn good game.

Does anybody else watch UCLA much? This Jordan Adams reminds me of Dion Waiters.

Jordan Adams is a pretty decent player for a freshman that's flying under the radar and the Dion Waiters comparison is legit although the only other player for UCLA not named Shabazz Muhammad that intrigued me as a possible NBA talent was Kyle Anderson because it's not everyday that you see a 6'9" point guard.

I had three thoughts last night

1. Shabazz actually made a point to display some offensive skill other than pick up garbage buckets at the rim or spot up threes. Finally. Loved seeing him continuously post up smaller defenders or use screen and rolls against bigger ones. Shows he has a level of awareness on offense we could really use. Still dismayed by his lack of elite athleticism and poor defensive effort but MKG would mask those deficiencies very well

2. LARRY NANCE HAS A SON PLAYING FOR WYOMING?

3. Anthony Bennett should never grab less than 8 boards a night. He has much ability to pootle his way to just 5 on the college level against a subpar team. Don't know if its lack of awareness, laziness, or that he doesn't think he's a low post player, but I hate to see that.

By the way, are there any Gonzaga fans out there? This Kelly Olynyk canadian kid continues to impress. Huge 7 footer with fantastic mobility and range, can score all over the place with insane efficiency. Would be a very intriguing target with that Portland pick.

I would like us all to remember that Thomas Robinson lead the NCAA in rebounds last year. With that in mind I don't see a bigman in the draft who would trully fill our need. We need a solid post defender (not shot blocker) who can rebound and score in the Low Post.... Noel is not that, Zeller isn't strong enough to be that, and everyone else is to short or aren't athletic to do so. We need a 6'10 + (preferable 6'11 +) center/PF who is a constant Post scoring threat or putback opportunist while also being solid defenders. Enes Kanter would have been that for us, Drummond would have been that for us, but this year there isn't anyone of that build. I say we go SG in this draft.

What the Bobcats do at the trade deadline will likely say a lot about what they think about the draft. I think Mike is loosing patience with the rebuild, and wants fannies in the seats now. If Hendo is traded in a package that brings back a solid young big the Cats are probably looking hard at Shabazz and Mclemore. If they only make moves for picks and keep Hendo past the deadline then they probably are most interested in one of the three bigs. They might still want to resign Hendo. Either is fine with me. My updated draft board looks like this.

Mclemore/Shabazz
Noel
Zeller
MCW
Smart

Portland pick
Little Big Dog
WCS
Ike Austin
Trade the pick for Tim Hardaway Jr. and a second.

I see plenty of Zach Randolph in Anthony Bennett to think he'd be capable of fulfilling the majority of your criteria without much trouble as long as he keeps his ass in the paint more often.

Zeller isn't weak either for a big man. He's a great athlete for a guy his size and is considerably bigger/stronger than he was last year. Just like his brother, there aren't very many big men who can keep up with him running from one end of the floor to the other. His only issue is his lack of length limiting him from being a consistent post scorer.

It's about time somebody mentioned THJ other than myself. I'd given up on turning you knuckleheads around on his talents.

The kid has a mixture of a lot of the good things about Shabazz and McLemore without the hype of being a freshman. Look at this profile:

6'6''
205lb

48.8 FG%
40.4 TP% (on 5 attempts)
73.6 FT%

16.2 points
5.3 rebounds
2.6 assists

on what is going to be the #1 team in the country. Yet I'm the only one who seems to care :(

I get what you're saying, but Thomas Robinson's actually starting to come around. Just had 12 points and 14 rebounds coming off the bench the other night. He took a little longer to adjust than the others, but he actually looks very promising. His only problem is that he's got Keith Smart as his coach. Can't get any consistent minutes.

1. Noel
2. Mclemore
3. Bennett
4. Bazz

I would think SAC likes Thomas Robinson if they're looking to move Jason Thompson.
