Delonte West and Terrence Williams

Sign both these dudes.

We need both of their skill sets.

I don't care what meds he's on, Delonte West cannot do any more damage to team chemistry than is already being done. My guess is that he will improve chemistry with his infectious play.

With Jordan Hill hurt, Gasol should not be traded because we need another center who can spell Howard. That means Delonte West is the "shake-up" this team needs and quite frankly, the only real move the Lakers have.

The FO needs to stop being a pussy about it and sign this dude.

Although Terrence Williams is not much of a shooter (a serious need on this team), he does provide defensive versatility, unworldly athleticism, and spark. I'd put him in the starting lineup (getting role player minutes) and bring Delonte West, Pau Gasol, and W.Peace off my bench, solidifying a super bench:

PG - Nash - West
SG - Bryant - (West)
C - Howard - Gasol
PF - Clark - (W.Peace/Gasol)
SF - Williams - W.Peace

We can sign one or the other out-right... Not both.
We'd have to buy someone out to sign the other I believe.

I have wanted Delonte all along... still hasn't happened and probably won't. We don't have a single guy that can effectively dribble drive and get into the paint without a pick.

I've wanted Terrance Williams for years would love to see him on this team they need someone with his athleticism and skill set. Like you said he's not a great shooter but he can't be worse then what we have.

No.

They cut J-Odom which opened up one spot and with the injury to Jordan Hill, using the DPE, another spot will open up as well.

The additions while making our bench better won't solve the bigger issue. This team has too many problems, that you really have to look at trading some of our starters and start looking at the future.

Quick, the Grizz will sign Delonte in no time.

People might say " How sad, our saviour is Delonte ", but we need his talent, who cares if we have 4 HOFs, they still needs help from serviceable (and real) ROLE-PLAYERS

I read Bill Walton instead of Bill Walker at first glance. It would be pretty funny if the Grizz signed Walton.

Delonte West would be pretty good, Terrence Williams no thanks, he just can't put it together and has been cut by seemingly every single lottery team in the league.

west has not been signed by memphis
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/delonte-we ... --nba.html
Guard Delonte West has been acquired by the Texas Legends, setting him up in the NBA Development League three months after he left the Dallas Mavericks following a pair of suspensions.

West was waived on October after two suspensions in as many weeks for conduct detrimental to the Mavericks. West, an eighth-year pro who has bipolar disorder, was involved in a pair of locker room incidents during the preseason, and was on his second straight one-year contract for the veteran minimum, which was $1.2 million this season.

I know this sounds crazy, but other than signing these two guys, if I'm the Lakers, I'd stand pat.

I wouldn't fire D'Antoni.

I wouldn't trade Gasol.

I wouldn't trade Howard.

With West and Williams, two guys who can guard PGs, the Lakers would have a very air tight eight man rotation.

Let D'Antoni run his offense "with wrinkles" and see what happens after acquiring two "quick guard pitbulls".

I think this team could turn the corner with a couple of role players added to increase defensive intensity and effort ... plus Gasol, W.Peace, and Delonte West is one helluva bench ... and Clark and Williams being reunited may make for some youthful inspiration and spark along with some solid role playing minutes in the starting lineup.

Just a hunch.
