Rodney Stuckey DNP-CD
Accoriding to Keith Langolis' twitter. I feel like this deserves its own thread.
Has Rodney fallen out of favor?
Nursing an injury?
About to be traded?
Let the speculation begin...

Re: Rodney Stuckey DNP-CD
i highly doubt Stuckey's going any where. Contracts good, production is average. We won't get anything back that's better than him, and his salary isn't hurting us. One possible destination is boston for Avery Bradley or a first rounder. but again highly doubt it

I was wondering if he got traded and paperwork is being worked.
I remember Boston liked him a few years ago and now with Rondo out maybe they got him?

Stuckey and CV for Green and Lee works just fine. Boston need to send a minimum salary to make it work but that should be easy.
Stuckey for Green works as well. With Rondo out who knows.

Green is an excellent defending tweener. He would be an excellent fit for our second unit.
Would love to see
Knight
Daye
Prince
Green
CV
just for the versatility.

Re: Rodney Stuckey DNP-CD
Green's contract one of the worst in the league, one overpayed guy on the bench like charlie is enough. stuckeys contract is one partially guaranteed next year.
I ve got a better trade

Re: Rodney Stuckey DNP-CD
Stuckey's spot in the rotation is another piece of inexplicable management by Frank, IMO.
He started bad, then got replaced by Singler. Then he got back to normal and vastly outplayed Singler, but there was no chance at starting again no matter how bad Singler was. Plus, he compliments Knight far more than Singler does, and far more than he would with Bynum.
Then Bynum has a killer games and Rodney has a few subpar games. Then Rodney's minutes get reduced and he is often in with Bynum, which is redundant, and he has few FGA's and ball handling duties. In that type of marginal role, you would need a miracle to be productive.
Bynum suggested that Stuckey should start for the same reasons mentioned above, but as usual the workings of Frank's rotation are a mystery to outsiders. Under Frank's management Stuckey's role has been killed by a slow start followed by a 3 game aberrant hot streak of Bynum.
I'm a Stuckey fan but with Drummond on the team it makes sense for us to gear towards a long term rebuild, so I won't overly lament Stuckey falling out of the Pistons' plans. But the reasons for him doing so make no sense to me, and are frustrating. It's a type of frustration very similar to seeing Maxiell and others getting more minutes than Drummond.

Th guy is like a 6th option for their offense... he needs a young team to get a chance to play his game.

At worst Green would be an elite second unit player...which is all we can hope Stuckey can ever be.

Yeah we might be able to get Lee but there is no way in hell the Celtics will trade Sullinger or Bradley for one of our back ups.

Re: Rodney Stuckey DNP-CD
Id trade Stuckey for Green in an instant. But I doubt BOS would.
If we sent him to BOS, it would probably just be for their 1st round pick this year + filler. Which would still be an awesome trade for us, as BOS is probably going to have a mid 1st round pick at worst, maybe a lotto pick

damn, oh well. Must just be insubordination again. Which leads me to ask why isn't he being traded then?
Too much inconsistncy on the court and too many bad attitude instances off the court.

Maybe. Perhaps an illness in the family. We'll see.
