Just about sums it up for the team. We're still in the pack, but we're still struggling on offense as we rank 29h in 3% shooting. Hint: Add a shooter(s) to the squad.

Re: Grizzlies Mid-Season Report Card
Well we traded Ellington, our best 3 point shooter, so there goes improving that stat

Re: Grizzlies Mid-Season Report Card
Is anyone else besides me interested in drafting Doug McDermott in the 2013 draft? Defensively, he's going to be a big liability though.

Re: Grizzlies Mid-Season Report Card
I wanted to compare Chris Johnson's stats with Wayne Ellington but since he doesn't even have an NBA.com player page ... I got no argument.
wait here it is:
http://www.basketball-reference.com/pla ... sch04.html
Johnson 46% from downtown on the year.
Ellington 43%.

When you factor in volume, that's where the problem is.

yeah but you can tell he is a good shooter. He's walking right into big minutes and knocking them down. Lord knows he's probably putting a lot of pressure on himself so that he can get another contract and stay out of the d-league. It's not easy to hit shots under pressure (although his have been pretty open).
He was shooting better than 40% in the d-league anyway I think. And he likely was getting the ball a lot more and asked to create.
While I like the fact that he can shoot, it sure seems like he doesn't handle the ball that well. But at the absolute rookie minimum, i'll take it.
