It's pretty simple to me. MKG had his best games when Hendo was hurt and Mullens was healthy. Even JT posed as a deep threat during his starting appearances. It's all about floor spacing for MKG offensively.

Sounds like the addition of McLemore could have a positive effect.

He very well might. I hope not, though.

He's definitely been having a better season (my fantasy team approves) but no way in hell would I ever take him over MKG long-term.

Have you seen BG's +/-? In most of our losses he is in the -20's, while our starters hover around 0. We have no choice but to start a defensive SG

That's because he mostly plays with our useless bench. Personally our best lineup would probably include our four guards and MKG, but we obviously can't do that. I definitely wouldn't mind rolling out Kemba, Gordon, Henderson, HakimTheDrim/Rocky, Biz.

the 6-7 and under all-star team - charlotte bobcats 2013
pg: walker 6-1
sg: sesions 6-3
sf: gordon 6-3
pf: hendo 6-5
c: mkg 6-7

bench:
adrien 6-7
taylor 6-7
reggie 6-6

using bball-ref for heights, see if you can find a current roster that could beat our 6-7 and under team - 8 player roster. i think we would be at the very least a good playoff team in the 6-7 and under league

Off the top of my head, GS has Curry, Jack, Klay, Rush, Barnes, Draymond Green, Jefferson, and Landry. I think Landry, Green, Jefferson, Klay, Rush and Barnes are all 6'7 and only Curry and Jack are shorter.

Landry/Barnes/Klay/Jack/Curry with Rush, Jefferson, and Green. That's probably not the worst team in the league right now.

i saw someone mention this the other day, cant remember where so forgive me if i steal a though - does anyone think MKGs eye injury was more serious than let on? or had lingering effect on mental part of game? he hasnt been the same since that injury. that might have been his last really good game.

I honestly think he has low self esteem, and him playing bad the past 10-15 games is making it worse. Its already stated that he confided in Calipari before the draft that he didn't think he was ready for the NBA for the draft.

The great thing about him is, is that it will make him work his ass off, more than he already does. He seems to be afraid of failure. And I love it.

The eye injury may have slowed down his momentum and made him hit the rookie wall sooner than expected but I think our offense as a whole have felt the effect of missing Mullens in the lineup. With Mullens we had better floor spacing and played at a faster pace. I understand that the way MKG has been playing lately may lead to cause for concern or even some disdain but he's still playing at a decent level for a rookie. He's scoring at a better rate and more efficiently than Harrison Barnes.

I think a good comp for MKG right now, from the development trajectory standpoint, is Jimmy Butler. I saw him last year and thought, good athlete but he is a mess and not going to stick in this league. You saw what he did to us the other night, impacting the game in many ways with his bbiq and strength. I see a similar leap coming for MKG next year and continuing thereafter.

MKG is just as good as Jimmy Butler offensively right now. Butler just had a breakout game against us like everybody does once they receive the confidence boost of seeing Cats on the opposing team's jersey. That's all.

Uncle Steve has mentioned this a couple of times. I don't know how much effect it has had but it does time out correctly.
