This twitter quote came after we signed Baren Davids :D

Baron Davis
Lord guide my steps and my path. Help me to do good on this earth. Inspire, believe, dream, and do good deeds!! Amen!!

Baron Davis
Ps. Selfishly... A NEW YORK KNICKS CHAMPIONSHIP!!! Amen #todayisagreatday

Followed by Clyde_Style Quote (Hilarious times)

"This is your lord and savior Baron. I bequeath unto thee the mantle of point guard for the Knicks.

Ye shall lead and ye shall prosper.

Propogate thine assists in plentiful fashion. Spread thine ball to multitudes of outstretched hands that shall bring the rock down to its earthly completion.

I annoint thee the bringer of championships. Wield the scepter of my grace with dignity. Baron, ye shall Lobbeth in my name and restore glory to the kingdom of Gotham"

I spend an inordinate amount of time on this board and still don't know what the "good ass game" thing is all about. School me brethren

Funny thing is I don't remember even creating a thread like that. Then again, I was re-incarnated on this board twice. I had my username pre-Jamal Crawford years and was surprisingly forced to make a new one (albeit using the same name) right afterwards. It was a weird thing

I have scoured through the threads from the night of the Decision, because I know for a fact that I gave information that leaked to me from a meeting that day with the Knicks PR team...I said the GS trade was real, Bron was going to Miami (both common knowledge) AND that the GS trade was an attempt to stack assets because the Knicks plan B was to pair Melo with Amare (before the wedding address and well before any reports). I'm damned proud of that one and can't find the post anywhere! Plus my friends internship ended that summer and I never got any other good scoops, so it's my one time being the man to call something.

The decision thread partX(I don't remember what part number it was) ends like minutes before LBJ says where he's going... that thread is closed and I couldn't find the continuation anywhere.. and I looked for a while. Maybe it's in that thread. I think it was like part 8... part 9 was no where to be found.. we were on 10 post per minute rate at that point... that night was torture.

It's gotta be. I want to find it so I can get an Incarcerated Bob hype . I actually heard all my info from a Rangers intern too, ironically enough.

no way man, we were way higher than 10 posts a minute

i remember posting something, and then having to immediately jump 1-2 pages just to see the last page.

the one thing about the decision that will get lost in the future is/was how close Joe Johnson was to being a Knick.

we were literally so close to having JJ/Amare duo. Atlanta at the last second increased it's offer to the hometown continuation max escalator + the 6th year, only after JJ got the 5 + max from us.

I thought JJ signed earlier than anyone. The JJ/Amare duo was rumored, but I don't remember a single official report and my inside guy never said a word about him. Pretty sure we were never very close to that one, it was Bron or bust after Amare/Bosh.

I remember trying to talk majorleads to tone down some of his outbursts...wed have pretty in depth and constructive back and forths via PM and I actually liked him (and id have to assume he respected me since he would come to me to chat in private). But he just couldn't resist just going overboard one too many apparent times and got himself banned...after just too many warnings.

Same with TheBluest. Cool guy. Funny guy.

Loved Hoodie and Cosmic...and I think both those guys were great for the board...the best of those that were banned. But ultimately they broke rules and warnings setup by other mods.

For those that liked some of the more colorful ex posters...and also are complaining about lowered traffic and quality? I think you'd be surprised who was the mod with the shortest leesh and that took things the most personal...and that was instrumental in banning a good number of them.

Moving on from that...I remember getting into a lot of "debates"with Jazz(FU) when I first joined but also how he was one of the posters I respected most.

And yes, Spandau (probably the most colorful mod on this board ever...and well before many of you guys times here) really did have a stalkers obsession with Britney Spears (pre skank).

Raptor fans and Knick fans and why the friction historically? Simply the two biggest kids (in terms of posters) on the block trying to jocky for the top spot.

What about that video by Nike that got Knick fans believing that Lebron was going to choose the Knicks? The one with the blurry blue and orange background wasn't it at the end (or was it a bird chirping)?

Not sure if this has already been mentioned, but as all this is written down, it's not exactly an "oral history".
