Noel's ceiling depends on his work ethic, he's got to develop either a faceup game, or a post game. he's a great passer and defender and with our bigs he'd be a great compliment, but I see McLemore or Bazz having first option potential, which we need badly as well

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Right now his upside seems to be Dikembe Mutombo.

I really don't think Bazz has what it takes to be a star in the NBA. Too many flaws in the way he plays: he's a 2 guard who's really an undersized 3 who's not especially quick, doesn't have a great handle and isn't a creator in isolation. He scores off of being bigger than his opposition which will go away in the NBA.

Even though I don't love McLemore he at least has the necessary tools to be a star at the next level.

Noel is a great defender, but he wont be able to stand in the paint for 20 seconds like he does in college

Last night was my first KU game. Noel looked great. Getting that many blocks with four fouls is phenomenal. He's a defensive game changer, no doubt.

There's holes in his game, like offense and the way he'll be physically abused in the NBA cuz he's rail thin, but if he's a hard worker he can be an All Star.

Shabazz credits watching Redick for his improved 3pt accuracy

“The guys in the league who are great shooters, J.J. Redick and guys like that, they are straight up and straight down and always follow-through, a good mechanical shot,” Muhammad says. “That’s one big thing I’ve really improved on. With coach Howland, every time I shoot a shot he’s like, ‘Stay in it, hold your follow-through.’ ”

Bazz and Noel are IMO the 2 front runners for guys I'd like on the Magic.

Perhaps Bazz should be looking at JJ's passing abilities more considering he might be the first guard averaging less than assist per game taken in the first round since Dahntay Jones.

Please carefully watch Shabazz's full games. Let me know when he passes, plays d, or drives to his right.

First pick could be a possibility :o

Not sure I'd want the first pick though to be honest. I think Noel has a lot of potential but he is so raw on the offensive end that I'm not sure if I want to be the team that takes the gamble on him @ #1. I feel like McLemore and Shabazz are more sure things at this point although both have question marks (Can McLemore create for himself? Can Shabazz create for others?). And I'd just like to finally maybe have a big-time wing scorer again.

What other potential top 10 prospects do you guys like outside of Noel/Shabazz/McLemore? I like Goodwin, Smart, Burke, and McCollum. I don't think this draft is as bad as everyone says TBH.

if we go number 1 we take Noel because his defensive instincts alone will make him a worthwhile NBA starter

Want nothing to do with Noel. No killer instinct. Never gonna be a superstar in the NBA. He might block shots, but that doesn't make up for his lack of offense. There are plenty of guys like that in the NBA that can be had without using a top pick on. You need someone with legit skills or you're just getting the next Ekpe Udoh or Bismack Biyombo. Screw that. Plus, there's no way I want him playing over Vucevic and there's no way I want him playing PF.

If we want a post player, then Anthony Bennett is the guy we need. If we go PG, then it's between Smart and MWC. ...and honestly, MWC has started to make me believe in him lately where I wasn't always a fan before.

M. Smart and, I haven't seen any of Gobert, but I wouldn't be surprised if we went with him.

Don't think Bennett has as much success in the NBA as a 6'7" PF. And what in the past few games impresses you about MWC? I've actually completely veered away from the kid the past few games.

this in both regards....

IMO PG should be between Burke and Smart, both seem like less of a gamble than MCW.

I don't like seeing 38% shooting and 28% from 3.....Seems like to much of a Kendal Marshall, obv MCW>KM, just sayin...

Can a player improve his ball-handling in the NBA?
Smart / Micic / D. Wright
Wiggins / Exum / J. Adams
Parker / K. Anderson / Mcdermott
Randle / Vonleh / Stokes
Embiid / Nurkic/ Tavares
