i don't see any way he gets it tbh, no matter where he ends up.

Re: Jets Considering Trading Revis
With the ACL injury and his age, he's still asking for the biggest defensive deal?

Not shocked they would try to trade him. He's coming off an ACL, and the Jets need to rebuild. I doubt they get much for him though, considering his injury history and he's gonna want another big contract.
Shut down CB's are extremely valuable in today's league. Revis only allows QB's to complete some 45% of their passes on his side (if not lower), it is extremely valuable to have a guy who can stop Calvin Johnson from tearing apart your D. Imagine if the 49ers had him covering Boldin tonight, he is a game changer. Rushing the passer is effective, however with the new option QB's flooding the league rushing the passer has become more and more difficult- sometimes the basic/traditional options utilized to cover a WR are more effective- and Revis is the best in the business.

Shutdown CBs were valuable when there was only one WR on their "side". Nowadays with all the spreads and what not, shutting down 1 WR is all CBs do and good teams can beat you with their other 10 guys. Also, it's basically impossible to cover WRs for 4+ seconds, even more so now in today's NFL where the rules so heavily favor the Offense.
Revis is a great player, but for the amount of $ you're gonna have to spend to get him you're better off getting 2 or 3 good CBs, or DL or LBs. Gotta have depth across the board to win. The Ravens won the SB with the likes of Cary Williams at CB.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.
