McGrady

Post#1 » by supaflash » Fri Feb 1, 2013 12:43 am

Just a thought but he's looked pretty good in China, and he's a guy that could potentially do the Kobe role for a few mins when he's on the bench, allowing us to continue to build this type of system for the rest of the year. Takers? Yay/Nay? I also didn't look that bad last year in limited minutes.

No real point. He's not making any kind of difference anywhere in the NBA

We should get him and AI. Not because its any type of upgrade but because I want to believe its 2003 and have the best team ever assembled.

The rotation and everyone's roles on the team are starting to set into place. No point messing that up now.

Now VC vs Jamison, there's one to watch unfold. Teammates traded for each other on draft day, still both decent players (not great, but they're in the league for a reason still). Who outlasts who?

Juwan Howard put the Fab 5 to shame.

I'd take an old Iverson/Mcgrady over a young Duhon/Morris/blake anyday... <<< not like they do anything.

Drop - Duhon/Morris/Blake for Iverson/Mcgrady

Do it mitch, do it lol.

I do not blame you for thinking this considering you have probably not watch T-Mac play for several years, but watching him the last two years, you would realize he has evolved his game. He was a great help for the Hawks last year, and played great at the Point Guard spot in Detroit.

T-Mac is certainly gaining confidence in China, and probably has put in more work on that injured knee in 20 games in China than he has in the past 2 years in the NBA.

I know. I would prefer a more athletic younger player but there just aren't many options and I think he could thrive in this situation. His time in China has shown he's got some conditioning and health back and the guy is so talented. He's always been a great passer and creator, another of which this team could really use. Our bench just needs a guy that is capable of creating something and not afraid to. I just think this situation where he can play limited minutes surrounded by lots of talent would be great for him. Not like we have a whole lot to lose at this point.

He's in China for a reason, he's no longer good enough for the NBA.

Chinese media reports say the contract is worth at least $1 million.

The best day for the Lakers is when the trade deadline is passed and they can stop thinking about all this crap and focus on winning some games.

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
