I disagree that it "wasn't close," especially if you look at individual accomplishments this season.

Kemba: 17.8 pts, 5.7 assists, 3.6 rebs, 1.9 steals
Deron: 17 pts, 7.8 assists , 3.3 rebs, 1 steal
Jennings: 18.8 pts, 5.5 assists, 3.7 rebs, 1.9 steals
Lopez: 18.6 pts, 7.3 rebs, 2.2 blocks

I figured it would go to either Williams or Lopez though, since they're on a winning team.

Looking at that, Kemba really did have a chance.

Edit: Kemba doesn't currently average 6.5 assist though :-?

You failed to mention Brook is also shooting 52.5% and has a PER of 25.4

I'm a pro Kemba fan but he didn't deserve a All-Star invite this season and neither did Kyrie Irving or Jrue Holiday. I think Deron Williams should've made it over all of those up and coming point guards off reputation alone. Brandon Jennings had a case to be in it and definitely should've made it over Irving and Holiday. All-Stars are supposed to be on winning teams unless you're a lock for future HOF like Kobe Bryant. That's just my opinion on it.

Huh, you're right. Not sure where I got that number from.

The 52.5% is ok for a center, I didn't think it stood out that much. Heck Robin is shooting 55%.

Didn't realize his PER was that high though. I think he deserves it, I just don't think it was a one-horse race. Kinda wish we signed him now :-?

any 7 footer playing 30 plus minutes and avg under 8 boards gets no love from me...just being 7ft should give you 6 boards alone.

Exactly how I feel. Hell, look at Mully, the most allergic to the paint 7 footer this side of Bargnani yet he manages more than Brook.

Brook is having a great year comparative to other bigs, and I'm not mad he made the ASG instead of Kemba, but let's not put the guy on a pedestal like "it's not even close"

Robin's not averaging close to 19 points per game (in 29 minutes, by the way). Once you consider usage with efficiency, the list of players that can match or surpass Brook as scorers is short and elite. Kemba and Jennings, although impressive, have still been volume scorers.

The trouble with comparing efficiency from a 7-footer to a 6-footer is that the 7-footer can go get a couple putbacks on any given night. A 6-footer can get an occasional breakaway, but that's not as common (and can be offset by the extra 911 shots they take at the end of quarters and shot clocks).

That said, I'm a Kemba guy, but I don't think he deserved AS recognition this year - team success being the primary roadblock, as well as assists needing to be a tick higher.

Team success is also why I think it should have been hands down Lopez. His stats are better even though its hard to compare bigs to guards. But the Nets are also 3rd in the East and didn't get anyone in during the initial selection.

Holiday has also had a fantastic year despite the short comings of the rest of the team.

Of course, it hasn't seemed to bother Paul, Parker, Irving, Curry, Nash, etc.

Kemba my main man, I got his back, it was never a contest anyway as Kemba is far superior as a player and prospect.

Props to Combo for stepping up to rep his main man though, people talk **** on here all the time and props for those that put their sig where their mouth is.

At the end of the season he will either be elected as the president of the Kemba Walker fan club or he just came out of the Bobcats closet.

Mike Dunlap revealed that he uses tape of Chris Paul and Tony Parker to help mold second-year point guard Kemba Walker.

“We really feel, mentally and physically, the way those two lead their teams is very special,” Dunlap said. “Different, but they get the same results.”

Dunlap emphasizes Parker’s attention to detail.

“First, change of speed: This is how he does it, where and when,” Dunlap said. “Then, two is just how when he doesn’t have the ball, he is one of the hardest cutters in the league. He just rips his cuts. Third is if you overplay his cuts — snap — he goes back door.”

Gregg Popovich believes Parker has been the top point guard in the league this season.

“I think he’s probably played better than any point guard in the league, if you want to be totally frank,” Popovich said. “It’s hard to pick somebody whose had a better year than he’s had.”

Slow down penguin. This is not a long-term thing. The idea is to allow Jose to mentor him while allowing both of them to share ball handling duties. Knight just put up 20/10/6 with 1 TO while holding Kyrie Irving to 14 points. He's still the PG long-term.

Yeah things aren't looking to good for me as Knight is down 2 to 1. Kemba has the higher ASt/TO and the higher PER. No way he catches Kemba in PER so he needs to have a Magic Mamba esque transformation at SG to give me chance  Come on BK! Dish out those dimes!
