they've been looking tired in the 4th quarter the past 2 games

Morris' sole role would be to go 100% defensively on the other team's point guard until he is out of gas. Rinse and repeat in the 2nd half of each game. This allows Nash a little more rest and keeps Kobe from having to use up his legs playing defense.
Bad idea. Morris cannot create for others like Nash can. Morris in means Lakers will not get good spacing...and his man can afford to leave him whenever he wants. Nash is such a huge threat on the offensive end, his man has to stay with him or the other team will certainly pay. Morris...well he just isn't a great shooter.

Rebounding and chasing Rubio because Nash was getting burned badly in the Minny cb did, he was sucking wind in the 4th and swearing buckets, same with Pau.
I agree he needs to take about 3-5 shots per quarter though as sometimes he is for I himself to not even look at the hoop to make this work and make the plays all our others Gs can't. But one of those shots was a bs shot by Clark. GET the ball with 2 secs, 27 feet out.... Nash, Blake, and everyone not named Metta or Meeks or Twan aka chuckers, is guilty of still busting his percentage to save theirs late vs clock, if he's facilitating they have to take those and not throw back when clock hits 5 or 4 and he's 20 ft out.
Nice of you to make excuses for Kobe but not others. Kobe has to guard somebody.

Nash had 2 blocks he was ok defensively. The only person busting kobe's percentage is kobe's bad shooting.

Nash has been fine on D the last few games (overall everyone on D has been ok). He just likes to rip on Nash every post and sell Kobe as the savior. I appreciate that even though you are a Nash fan you don't shove that agenda down our throats.

I get the vibe that Kobe and Pau having a hard time letting these new guys trying to put their stamp on the team when what they did brought rings.

TyCobb wrote:I think D'Antoni is standing in the way of the new players transitioning into Lakers basketball. It was much easier for Pau because those teams had a nucleus and an identity already.
D'Antonni clearly needs to get out of the way. Getting the ball to Kobe, Dwight, and Gasol inside should be the focus of the offense. And for the most part they are doing that. It is a process for a coach to change in the middle of the season like this so we'll see. But yeah, D'Antonni is looking foolish trying to make Gasol a 3-pt shooter.
Then again, most of you were not sure what would happen when Nash got back and started running the offense. Fans here were willing to "take a look". Only after watching is it completely obvious what should be done.
Personally I still want to see some variety. I hope the coaches continue to find ways to run plays for Kobe, Nash, Gasol, and Howard. It keeps the defense guessing and makes it tough to game plan for.
