Oh yeah I'll go BOOM...
MKG looks like he had a concussion.. missed all ball this weekend because I was traveling. They say he was moving his extremities though..

From the old thread...
Bad collision with Taylor. Turned out to be a neck injury

Preliminary reports are sprained left knee and sprained left ankle.. his foot must've gotten twisted up.. did you see it?
I saw the highlight off NBA TV, seemed a little more than a knee sprain, but i hope it isn't.
Didn't get to see much of the Rockets and Bobcats, what happened to MKG?

Re: Favors - I know he's young and that bigs take awhile... but I didn't see a single real move from him. If you look at the Pistons young bigs, by contrast they came in with much more than that.
Not doubting so much that Favors can't contribute... but to what extent? Is it worth losing Milsap? If I'm the Jazz, I keep Jeff, Sap, and Kanter (you can't teach HUGE) and look for a guard of similar upside to Favors.

Honestly I haven't watched much of him this year if any... but I know how raw he was coming out of college which was a bad move. Usually when you get these big men either right out of high school or after their freshman year it can take up to 5 years for them to show improvement.. that's about how long it took Jermaine O'neal.

Funny but the Jazz announcer just said something similar regarding Lillard (seemless skill transfer is what 4 years in college ball will bring you). I guess you look at what the Lakers did with Bynum (basically shelve him for skill development 2 years) or even Boston with Al Jeff himself. But the Jazz look like they could compete for the 3-6 seed for awhile with some good guards.
This is really about what I've seen of Favors. This is why I need a jocker to 'splain.

Favors has the talent to be really good, but that team has to be patient.

Maybe head to the NETS board to find the jockers?

But the huge problem is that most of the really good teachers in the sport are at the college level... so when guys leave early their development suffers because NBA head coaches want to win and not worry about developing a player like Favors when they've got Vets who can get the job done without being a detriment to the team. So a kid like Favors will make his greatest strides in the off-season. I wonder if some of what we're seeing with regards to a lack of big men with fundamentally sound back to the basket games has anything to do with Pete Newell not being around anymore?

Lakers @ Pistons this afternoon. Lakers need to go 24-13 to make the playoffs, since Houston looks to be on a 44 win pace.

Re: Around the NBA part 4
As expected, Bulls injures are starting to pile up. Anybody who is "afraid" of the Bulls, probably hasn't followed this team during the past 3 years. They always overachieve during the regular season, since they play in constant overdrive and ride their starters for 40mpg. They also ALWAYS fizzle away in the playoffs.
Their great defense is nothing but a sham- all they do is overload the ball side, which can easily be overcome by good ball movement for easy buckets. It doesn't happen much in the regular season, but their defense will always get exposed in the playoffs when teams have time to adjust.
Bulls will have another 1st round exit. Book it.

This dude is unreal. Would like Cleveland to put a decent team around him so I can watch him more often. And I'm SICK of hearing that announcer who keeps yelling "THE BOTTOM!" when Kyrie makes a basket.
