[GMAT 2013] Approved Trades

Post#1 » by HornetJail » Sun Feb 3, 2013 10:03 pm

Approved trades will go here. The commissioner (that's me) will be the only one posting in this thread. This is a reference thread in case you need to go back and view an old trade. This also makes it easy to find out whether your trade was approved. Once your trade is approved, I will post it here.

Nets Get:
PF Josh Smith ($13,200,000)
C Zaza Pachulia ($5,248,750)
Total Salary: $18,448,750

Hawks Get:
PG C.J. Watson ($992,680)
PF Mirza Teletovic ($3,090,000)
C Brook Lopez ($13,668,750)
Total Salary: $17,751,430

Since Nets are above the luxury tax, they can at most bring back 125% of the salary going out plus 100k.

$17,751,430 x 1.25 + .1 = $22,289,288 > $18,448,750

Thanks lol

Added the trade number to it. Anyways the Hawks accept, big fan of Lopez and think he meshes nicely with Horford. Smith, while a great player, was not in my long term plans. Good dealing Brooklyn!

Thank you Karmaloop. Deal is approved. ZackB and NW7: Please update your rosters reflecting these changes ASAP. Also Zack (BRK GM) needs to include that he has the starting amount of $7M cash in his roster post.

Pacers Get:
Louis Williams ($5,000,000)
Total Salary: $5,000,000

Hawks Get:
D.J. Augustin ($3,500,000)
$3,000,000 cash
2013 1st round pick
Total Salary: $3,500,000

Reason: Pacers needed a SG, and I'm not so high on Augustin. I'm more comfortable having Stephenson come off the bench, so it made sense to acquire Lou.

ATL accepts.

Lou is a solid SG but I valued a late first, cash and future cap space more then him. Good dealing Indy!

Approved. Please update rosters. Jake, please make note that you have $3M less cash and have dealt your 2013 1st round pick on your roster page.

Full rights to our first round pick back (traded in Tyrus Thomas deal)

(Total: $5,857,000)

Chicago in:
Gerald Henderson ($3,101,327)

Charlotte has the cap space and roster space to do this deal. We love Gerald, but he could get a big payday this summer and we wanted to be able to use our 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 1st round picks as trade chips, something we couldn't do with the pick tied up with Chicago. Plus Marquis Teague on a 29th-pick contract is legit. Rip Hamilton can hold down the SG position as a vet in a young starting lineup. Good dealing Chicago.

Bulls accept. We like Hendo as our starting SG. Good defender. Good second ball handler. Good mid-range game. Nice fit. Thx Commish!

Approved. You know what to do DN.

Victor Claver - $1,300,000
Total - $9,931,840

Utah out / Portland in:

Enes Kanter - $4,319,280
Demarre Carroll - $885,120
Randy Foye - $2,500,000
Total - $7,704,400

Portland accepts. Give up a lot, but I think Kanter will be a beast.

Utah loves the heart that Wes Matthews brings and has regretted losing him to the Blazers since they made their poison offer. In addition, we like the athleticism that Meyers Leonard has demonstrated and flashes of a mid range game to compliment our young guys. Don't see us developing a plodding 1/2 court system that would suit Kanter's skills. We also like having a few players with upside under contract for the future. Great Dealing Sterncohen.

Approved. Please update.

Houston In:
Jeff Teague - $2,433,077
Kyle Korver - $5,000,000
Ivan Johnson - $962,195
2013 Houston 1st rounder (full rights to Houston)

Atlanta In:
Jeremy Lin - $8,374,646
Chandler Parsons -$888,250
Donatas Motiejunas - $1,361,400

Reason:
While giving up Parsons is tough, Houston loves Jeff Teague and thinks he is a great fit next to Harden. Kyle Korver will do a great job at filling in for Parsons and will provide for some superb spacing. Ivan Johnson is a great defensive 4-man and will add in some extra depth at a cheap price. This deal will also give Houston up to $10 million more to play with in free agency, as none of the contracts they are receiving are guaranteed. Overall, a deal Houston is happy with.

ATL happily accepts.

Jeremy is a good point guard but he's a bit ball dominant, in Houston we've seen his production dip with Harden playing next to him. I think he can excel in ATL like his NYK days. Parsons is a player I love and Motiejunas is a project that's well on his way to contributing. Giving up my 3 dudes was a tough decision, but all are free agents to be.

Good dealing Houston!

Edit for totals:
Houston's total incoming is $8,395,272
Atlanta's total incoming is $10,624,296

Approved. Please update your roster to reflect all changes.

Indiana In:

Total Salary: $15, 287, 400

Magic In:
Tyler Hansbrough ($3,055,299)
George Hill ($8,000,000)
Total Salary: $11,055,299 * 1.5 + 100,000 = 16,682,949

Reason: The Pacers get a definite upgrade to their backup PF, as well as dumping George Hill for Jameer Nelson who distributes the ball more effectively than Hill, and is more of a "true" point guard.

ORL accepts. Harrington is better than Hansbrough, but Tyler is EXP which we like, and also younger. Nelson has simply outstayed himself in Orlando, and isn't producing like he used to. Hill is less of a distributor, but does most other things better, and I like the fact that he can play either guard spot, so that we don't have to worry about who we get in future deals, because Hill can adapt.

Approved. Please update.

IND for Danny Granger (13,058,606) and Orlando Johnson ($550,000) ($13,608,606)

Utah gets an All Star performer - at a position of need in his prime and a nice Prospect (from the GMs Alma Mater) who has the versatility to play the 1 and 3 in addition to his natural SG position. Indy was tough, but Utah avoids bidding wars Mo Williams expiring. Nice dealing Jake0890

Accepted. I didn't like having Granger behind George as much as he was being paid. In return, I get a decent pick, money, a good point guard, shooting specialist, and young prospect.

Corrected Indiana's incoming salary. Deal still works, so it's approved. Please double-check your calculations.

Worriors accept.
We are under the luxury tax before and after the deal so we are operating under the 150% rule.
We hate losing Barnes, but love losing Jefferson. Getting Rudy G. Is an amazing for to our core. Good dealing Toronto.
