Good, now there's no reason to even think about playing Phillips a down again. Betweem Stave, Houston and this guy (and maybe others I'm missing) there's no reason for Phillips to be higher than fourth on the depth chart.

Guessing going into the spring it will be McEvoy-Houston-Stave and then who cares on the rest.

How many years of eligibility will he have?

All sorts of things can still go wrong when they actually get out on the field, but so far, Andersen looks like a 500 ft. home run of a hire.

It really is a remarkable get. Anderson has said he wanted the spread option element in his offense, so all Wisconsin does is go out and get the best kid on the market, one with three years remaining.

The already great start for coach Gary Andersen just got a heck of a lot better. Remarkable get.

Chance Stewart is coming for the 2014 season too. We are starting to look pretty deep at QB going forward.

His throwing motion makes me cringe.

It's not a beautiful motion by any means but cringing should be reserved for Tebow-esq deliveries.

I'll have to see how physically imposing he is. If he can just throw the ball far but not well, but is extremely athletic, he can be very good a la Pryor/Klien. If he unexpectedly turns into a great passer, then he could dominate like Newton (not suggesting that to be likely).

What I'm saying is you don't have to be a godly thrower to dominate at 6'5" 220 if you're fast and powerful. Klien and Pryor had horrendous arms.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. He says he hasn't been contacted by the new staff yet and he's reached out to them. Hopefully they reach out to him b/c I would hate to lose him.

What's the true story behind him? Scout.com doesn't even give Mcevoy a star rating. He's their #18-listed QB from juco this year.

Not sure. We know he had scholarship offers from both Oregon and Florida. My guess is he liked his chances to compete for the starting job in 2013.
