Mark Texiera wont try to improve

"This is my 11th year," Teixeira said. "I'm not going to play 10 more years. I want 5 or 6 good ones. So that would say I'm on the backside of my career. And instead of trying to do things differently on the backside of my career, why not focus on the things I do well, and try to be very good at that?"

every1 giving him a free pass, I wonder what they wouldve done if it was Arod

So basically he's going to turn into a $18.9 million per year version of Doug Mientkeiwicz?  :banghead:

ARod may be big mistake contract no.1 but it's clear who no.2 is. At least ARod has (PED enduced) injuries to his defense. Texierra just basically sucks (offensively) for no reason now. Oy gotta love being a Yankee fan right now.

Cash money overpaying to get Tex from the Sawx. Again, don't care about the annual but the # of yrs is horribly lacking.

This dude is going to have to step up now. He needs to put a consistent year together for once. People tend to give him a pass because he hits over 30 plus home runs and plays gold glove defense. Guy fails in clutch time and time again just like a roid.
On Curry declining

you can still have good games in the decline, look at kobe's last game in his career

More and more I'm wondering if Marky Mark took PEDs. This bad wrist might need surgery has a bad smell to it. Again, I wouldn't be so upset if it weren't for the fact that Cashman was NEVER a scout unlike Stick...or in the case of football, Tenenbaum was NEVER a scout unlike Reese.

Makes a BIG difference when it comes to negotiating contracts and evaluating talent.

The tex move was a bad move since day 1. it was obvious it was going to be giambi part 2, a few good years then strictky a power guy before completely falling off. i dont care if he gets better, because hopefully he wont be on the team sooner rather then later.

is he any better then adam dunn at this point?
