which is why now's the best time to trade george: you can get the moon for him and he has nowhere to go but down.

good team

to give you an idea of drummond's FT% impact it's on the level of josh smith, not dwight. so v v bad obv. you're desperate for blocks, though. it's roto so you have to look at the standings and see what cats you can or cannot make ground in. it's a more fluid situation that isn't conducive to as much absolute advice (which is why roto rapes).

check your games played. your team is too good to be wasting spots on nate robinson. you want long-term upside, not short-term productivity. sell high on ersan. 2-for-1s dont go over so hot in roto cuz obv quality >>>> quantity. sell high on melo. sell high on george. i'm not saying you should in absolute ternms; im saying you need to explore their market. the other plus about that is when you're not afraid to put your best players on the market, it shows you're open-minded and you get to play with a lot of different owners. more owners = more chances of finding dat sucker.

id offer melo + george for durant and lbj. why not? melo or george for curry straight up. lillard would b v easy to trade. i mean your team is so flexible you need to be scouring the trade market. there are many suckers out there, but it's a # game.

Alright, curious for some opinions here.. my team:

Standard 9 Category H2H 12 Team Competitive League

G: Conley, Dragic, Vasquez, Jack
F: Deng, Clark, Kirilenko
C: Al Jefferson, Aldridge, Bosh, Pekovic, Bogut

Injured: Bynum

I'm a bit weak in 3s and wouldn't mind a good SG/SF, I'd love to add Nick Young right now but there's no one I can really drop and no one ever wants to do 2 for 1 trades.

I've been offered Gallanari for Al Jefferson and counter offered with Bosh or Bosh + Jack but they're very stubborn. I've also been offered Eric Gordon or Wesley Matthews for Bosh which I'm considering but don't feel too great about.

Any ideas for a 2 for 1 trade idea I should try? I mean I don't HAVE to do a trade but I'm 3.5 games out of first and would love a move that can help put me over the hump.

Bosh + Deng for BPA

lol @ bosh + jack for gallo. love gallo and h8 bosh but get real, i'd roll w/ bosh before the rest of the year before selling him off for proper value.

if/when jack starts regressing he becomes a stream spot

d12/pau could be shut down sooner rather than later, in which case u luck into clark becoming a stud

How are you in 5th place w/ LBJ, Duncan, Gasol, Curry? Maybe you've been ul. Have you had Wall/Granger all year?

Your bench is terrible. That's one reason why. All those guys are droppable. Who's on the wire?

Still a strong contender to win it all.

I drafted terrible. I drafted Wall. I picked up Granger two weeks ago. My team remains almost the same.

Core Players
G: John Wall, Stephen Curry, Tony Parker
F: Lebron James, Danilo Gallinari, Gordan Hayward
C: Nene, Emeka Okafor, Tim Duncan, Marc Gasol

Bench Players

Waiver Wire (Watchlist)
G: Mo Williams (Injured)
F: Martell Webster, Patrick Patterson, Antawn Jamison, Mo Harkless
C: Brandon Bass

Im thinking of dropping Gordan Hayward because of his injury or Jeff Green for Patrick Patterson. Im not in any hurry to do roster adjustments cause I am almost 100% sure I will win this week and next weeks H2H.

League format:
H2H, weekly line ups..2 reserve, 1 IR spot.
All categories EXCEPT FT% & Fouls.

I try to setup my lineups best I can for each weeks matchups given my opponents strengths/weaknesses & # of games played that particular week by each player/quality of their opponents.

Core: PG Kyrie
SG Harden
G: John Wall (was my IR spot till he returned)
SF: Paul Pierce
F: Earl Clark
PF: Kenneth Faried
C: David Lee
C: Mullens (was on IR, came back this week/traded for him in a trade earlier)
Util 1: Jeff Teague (JUST traded for him, gave away Gortat whom I got in an earlier trade for Pau Gasol/Kevin Martin)
Util 2: Drummond or Tiago Splitter

Bench: Beasley (just picked him up, havent played him yet too inconsistent), Marrese Speights (emerging for Cavs), Wilson Chandler (disappointment), and Eric Bledsoe (recently picked up, hoping for a trade or play him next week if Paul's return isnt on horizon)..MKG is on my IR (he has been dreadful the last two months before going down but I'm hoping he overcomes rookie wall)

The waiver wire is pretty barren, and requires a lot of speculation. I am extremely competitive in FG%, FTM...doing well in Points/Rebounds...ok in Assists/Steals, TOs are a tossup weekly (worse now though with Wall back) and absolutely abysmal in 3PTM/Blocks (given up on those cat). I feel like I need to solidify Points/Assists/Rebounds more (i'm in 5th place/ 14 games behind), not trying to catch the leaders but I want to shore up my team, make the playoffs and position myself well for an upset or two.

I keep deliberating whether to stand pat and see how it rides and hedging my bets with a good waiver wire pick ups given whose hot atm for the week OR try to swing a major deal (tough in the ppl I play with are extreme buy low/sell high sort I think). Each week it always seems like a Vasquez or an Omer Asik who are crazy outliers in one category end up spelling doom for me though ive done well the last two weeks. I just recently pulled the Gortat for Teague deal so I hope it pays off.

def start streaming. Hold onto Hayward. Burks is worth streaming. Just stream dude. No way in hell you should consider Green/bayless as anything more than lucky hot streaks. Probably ditto Speights.

12 team 9 cat H2H daily.

PG:
holiday
westbrook
thomas

SG/SF
eric gordon
nick young
matthews
webster
Dudley

PF/C
bynum
valanciunas
duncan
sanders
jefferson

My question to you is this:
How should i focus the team? the guy in last place has already made an announcement that he will accept any and all trades as long as it is fair to everyone in the league.

what stats should i be trying to acquire and what stats should i just move on from? i feel like 3s and fg is something to just let go off, but where should i devote my energy to?

I was dominating blocks until duncan got hurt, and at this point i do not trust popo to let him play "starter minutes" but the nice thing about duncan is that he doesnt need starter mins so i am willing to hold onto him, unless of course you guys see or know of something i dont.

the guy in last place's team consists of:

PG
Miller
Stuckey
Nash
Calderon

SG/SF
Crawford
MKG
thornton
allen
granger
marion
harden

Bigs
bosh
bynum
humphries
howard

On my FA it includes
E Clark (I am planning on adding him), Terry, butler, belinelli, mcgee, bradley, kanter, chandler, henderson, nicholson, harkless, j green, m barnes, barea, shved, l allen, single, villanueva, moore

awful job drafting; im assuming this is your first year. you just didn't know which sleepers to target or why. (okay i see that was autodrafted so slightly discount what i said.)

you didnt paste your settings / how big your league is so im hard-pressed to help you. the derozan deal is basically thomas for derozan. in 2-for-1s all that matters is who the best player is.

ive never been a fan of derozan and im not much of a fan of thomas, but if thomas gets starter's minutes he's def > than derozan + you desperately need a PG. id hold on thomas and see how it shakes out 'cuz he's trending upwards

good pickup on valanciunas. strong front line. like ur swingmen. potential value to extract in westy/holiday.

value > stats. stats shake themselves out, esp in h2h. i target stats more in roto than h2h. in h2h i care almost n aught about stats unless it's close to the deadline. you can compete in 3. you could even compete in fg and TOs.

I was dominating blocks until duncan got hurt, and at this point i do not trust popo to let him play "starter minutes" but the nice thing about duncan is that he doesnt need starter mins so i am willing to hold onto him, unless of course you guys see or know of something i dont.

calderon, bynum, harden, marion, calderon stick out. drop someone for clark. id drop webster before dudley. what place are you in?

shop gay asap

gonna be a hard team to improve. afflalo/gay are killing your team composition. you want a 3rd strong big (or a 3rd strong pg) but you don't really have the tools to acquire one. granger, LA, TT, Gasol, CP3 should be fairly untouchable. everyone else is up for play but none of them have great trade value. id propose klay for korver straight up.

As I said above, I had the live draft date changed on me so it was auto drafted (my team was dreadful before). I have managed to salvage the team a bit. It's h2h, 14 teams, and regular categories (fg and ft %, 3's, pts, ass, reb, st, blk, to). I need better percentages (too many guards) and less to's (same reason: guards). I'm 3rd place now, but Sacremento's small schedule second half will hurt me, which is part of the reason I want to move Isaiah while his value is high. Any other thoughts on what I should change?

H2H Yahoo, 12 teams, 9Cat....

With the trade deadline coming up next week. I was wondering if you can give me a few pointers to upgrade my team.. I have plenty of guards so I can offer two for one's.. I do think I need more rebounding and probably better FG%..... Here is my roster, I know you wont be politically correct so let me have it so that i can start fixing things for the playoffs in mid March...Also, some names I can target as well!!!

Thanks once again for your insights!!!

Roster

Jrue Holiday -- Felton
Calderon -- Gortat
George Hill -- David Lee
Monta Ellis -- Nikola Pekovic
N Batum --Sanders
B Mullen-- Rubio
Gordon Hayward

sgs: hill (im assuming he's sg eligible? dunno for sure), ellis, rubio (assuming he's sg eligible, dunno for sure)
sfs: batum, hayward

c: sanders pek

trade ellis for anything that moves. what's on ww? dunno playoff scheds but id start targeting optimal ones. so that means keeping felton. id be inclined to keep:

felton/calderon/rubio

shopping hill/holiday/ellis

utilizing pek as another piece of bait

isaiah's value isn't particularly high right now. people aren't dogs and don't ask 'how high' when you say jump. in other words everyone knows how inconsistent he is. after all, if he was consistent why would you want to trade him? young, presumably improving player on a bad team with all the minutes he could handle? you're better off keeping him and hoping he establishes himself as a ~t80 player. you just can't use another sg/sf.

stream shved/aminu. winning on volume is your only chance. id shop cousins hard for a legitimately elite player/better playoff sched. if everything breaks right you could upset someone.
