Is it just me or does it feel like this was the first time since.............forever that we played a game and didn't have at least 1 qtr where we only scored in the teens?

It's just you because we average 22.3 points per 1st quarter, just usually we give up over 30 points as well defensively.

You misunderstood the question.

I took a quick look going backwards from last night to the start of Jan.

Vs Rockets it was the 3rd
Vs Spurs it was the 2nd and the 4th
Vs Bulls it was the 1st and 3rd
Vs Mini we had at least 20 in all 4
Vs Hawks we had at least 20 in all 4
Vs Rockets it was the 4th
Vs Kings it was the 4th
Vs Magic it was the 3rd
Vs Pacers it was the 3rd and 4th
Vs Celtics it was the 1st and 4th
Vs Pacers we had at least 20 in all 4
Vs Raptors it was the 1st and 3rd
Vs Jazz we had at least 20 in all 4
Vs Pistons it was the 4th
Vs Cavs we had at least 20 in all 4

So in 15 games we had 10 games were we had at least 1 quarter that we only scored in the teens.

My fault. Now I see where you're getting at. I think we had only in the teens in the 3rd quarter last night but I'm not sure yet.

Edit: We scored at least 20 in all 4 quarters last night. No wonder we stayed competitive. Good observation.

We had at least 20 in all 4 last night - hence me originally asking the question of when that happened last.

Which lead us to here.....

According to ESPN LeBron had a historic shooting night on us last night. We always find our way into the bad end of the record books.

Yeah they've been going on about how he only missed one shot (which was a breakaway and the ball just rolled off the rim). But I kept an eye on his stat-line after he started like 7-for-7, and I distinctly remember him missing another. This occurs twice in the play-by-play: "LeBron James bad pass (Gerald Henderson steals)." One time he drove, leaned back, and threw sort of an off-balance heave toward the basket, which hit the rim and bounced off. Pretty sure it was Hendo that grabbed the rebound too. I don't know, looked like a shot to me but I guess they're calling it a bad alley-oop pass.

But whatever, I'm just tired of seeing that so hyped up and then have the commentators say "Well, it is the Bobcats after all, but his performance was crucial since they only won by 5!!!!" It's like...you can't have it both ways.

In hindsight I wish we would've sent LeBron to the free throw line more. Enough fouls probably would've disrupted his rhythm and made him take a couple of jump shots. I guess I can take a moral victory in believing that LeBron had to bring his smart A game to defeat us.
