What would it take for the raps to get Cousins?

Post#1 » by sunny » Sat Feb 2, 2013 12:21 pm

No idea if your gm can make trades before the ownership situation is figured out, but i'm just wondering what the team perceives his value to be.

Would either of these be something worth looking at from your perspective:

(val and bargs for hayes and cousins)

or

val, demar and anderson for cousins, garcia and honeycutt

Toronto doesn't possess the assets necessary to acquire Cousins.

Trade Owners. We'll throw in Tyreke as well.

Nothing !

Until the sale of the Kings there would be no Kings trades involving Cousins , Evans , I.T. Jimmer , T.Rob .
Their likely wont be any trade involving the Kings this season unfortunately . Petrie wont be back next season & the Maloofs wont allow him to trade any player that could have an affect any $$$ the Kings could have had R.Gay for Evans in a deal & it didn't happen because SAC would have had to take on $$$$$ which the Maloofs wont allow given the fact they are selling the team & wont take on more pay roll .

The only players that might be dealt if any are : Salmons , Outlaw & possibly Honeycutt if as a filler due to the fact that whoever owns the Kings next are likely not to keep Honeycutt & will likely amnesty Salmons .
C.Hayes might be available as well but doubt it .

The only things the Maloofs may allow if any trade happens would be to gain expriring contracts but only giving up vets to do it . The only way any significant trade could happen which I doubt it would is if the sale goes final to whomever buys it before the trade deadline even then I doubt it because the sale would likely have to have all the I's dotted & T's crossed first .

Valanciunas and Ross is not enough?

Especially with Cousin's apparent character issues and his problems with the organization?

Jonas V for Cousins makes a lot of sense for both teams, possibly another pick included for the Kings

Not that I'm opposed to it but we're not trading Val for Cousins lol and not giving up any first rounders either.

He was basically just on a rant about Demarcus' maturity issues and how he doesnt play defense and even went as far to bench him and make Chuck Hayes the starter until Demarcus gets his ish together

Grant basically said Cousins is not captain material and should be benched.

Return to Sacramento Kings
