Kudos, they're actually fielding some tough questions.

Pretty rough reception for Rasmus and Lind...rightfully so.

Like Brinbe said, they really are answering some difficult questions. It's amazing how much easier it is to answer "tough" questions after the offseason we've had.

If anyone remembers the SOTU from last year, it was PAINFUL to watch.

Couldn't make it. Turned out to be email questions. I started to watch but I found it boring. Perhaps interesting to hear that Janssen is closer for now. Beeston mentioned grass for a stadium would be removed over the winter. Maybe this is all old news, but I hadn't heard it before.

He said if we have football in the RC that is what would have to be done. But strongly hinted that they will not be in the RC long and the grass would be permanent. At least that's how i interpreted it.

Nice. Did they answer any questions about him?

No they said the positions that aren't set in stone are: Backup Catcher (Blanco, Thole), Starting Second Base (Bonifacio, Izturis), Back of the Bullpen (final 2-3 spots).

Mentioned nothing about DH and/or platoons

True. Somebody else told me that Gibbons mentioned platooning him to somebody before it started, so I hope that's the case. It better be, anyway. If it takes watching him flail away against LHPs in ST before they finally commit to that, that's fine.

I mean these guys have to see it. It's been 3 full years now. I imagine there's no better option out there or they would have made a move. I'm sure he'll be platooned and if he's really awful against righties too, then Cooper probably gets the call first and Lind is DFA'd before grabbing someone at the deadline. They probably feel they have enough to mask Lind, but I think the lineup right now is a bit overrated. It's not "stacked" as Gibbons said it was.

I agree. It could be stacked if Lawrie takes another step offensively or if Rasmus hits to his potential for a full season, but neither of those things are guarantees (or even likelihoods). I'd take the Yankees' offense over ours and much of the reason why is Lind's continued presence.

Gibbons mentioned on "Blue Jays Up Front" that he's not sure what he's going to do with Lind! He did bring up platooning him as an option, i believe.

Would have liked to hear if they plan on any improvements to the horrendous food service. They charge stadium prices for high school cafeteria food.

At least at the ACC when they take $20 of mine I can get an awesome hand carved beef sandwich with all the fixings, a bag of chips and a beer.

At the Skydome, all i get is an oversized hot dog that's imposible to eat off your lap and worst tasting then what I can get just outside for couple of bucks. Probably have to include a minuscule MGD and some nasty soft serve in a plastic baseball cap (that my kids want to keep, but still has uneaten ice cream).

Maybe I just need to find a way into the 200 section.

The starting LF from last season is sitting there as a platoon option so I'd be surprised if the organization completely misses this opportunity. It's only going to make both of them look like better hitters.

Masai is overrated.
I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.
