So there's more to it than just liking Davis as a player.
I can see disliking the trade for the implications of it. It's how I felt with Jerryd Bayless. He's not some one in a lifetime kind of player, but he was young that showed some real promise and flourished whenever he started, but he obviously needed a lot of work. So what does Colangelo do? Let him walk for nothing, use a first round pick to acquire Kyle Lowry who has essentially been a better albeit older Bayless. Our GM sacrificed a pick to bypass all development. I mean Lowry is way better than Bayless but again it's about the implications.
