The Brooklyn Chant=bad luck?

Post#1 » by xam2k7 » Wed Feb 6, 2013 4:21 pm

Have any of you noticed that EVERY single time we start the Brooklyn Chant in the stadium the next immediate play is always negative for the Nets? I have watched all but 3 games this year and I started noticing this near the beginning of the season and have paid attention to it ever since and have not seen a single time where it has affected the team positively and almost always results in a basket for the other team, a foul on us, or a turnover on us. Anyone else notice this?

No, it's not bad luck.

It's just incredibly annoying now. They play it so much and so frequently that it's lost that special feeling with me.

It could be 12-10 and we get a dunk, "BROOOOOKLYN"...

What? Are you serious?

The game just started and we're no where near finishing the game. I bet it's also an annoyance to the other team and they might take it as a slight to think that they just got "Brooooklyn-ed" and they'll see to score and shut that chant up asap.

IMO, the only time that chant should be played is during a huge rally or at the end of the game, when there's a huge play that basically says "Yeah, we just dominated". That's when you play that song/chant and that's when the other team knows "yeah, we're screwed" and the crowd would go nuts.

lolol I notice that sometimes too I hear the Brooklyn Chant and expect and easy layup for foul call to be honest. I don't think it's bad luck I have just also noticed how the players just suck on defense when it's going on but at the end of the day they always suck on defense.

To me they should only pump it before tip off and after a win. The rest should come natural
