Best nickname in Brooklyn/New Jersey sports history

Post#1 » by ATL Boy » Wed Feb 6, 2013 2:28 am

I'm trying to get the best nicknames in History of every sports city, New Jersey is next, since the Giants and Jets are both NJ and NY I'll put both Giants and Jets nicknames in the poll for both cities. In the end I'll round up all the nicknames on the general board for a massive vote. Max 7 contestants in the poll. Also please don't start complaining about what guy should and shouldn't be on there, I understand if you guys tell me what I did wrong but please don't continue on and on I'm doing this with my own time and for your guys' entertainment :)

Already Voted:
Atlanta: The Human Highlight Film - Dominique Wilkins
Boston: The Truth - Paul Pierce

If you're including football, it has to be L.T. I mean, most people still call him that and he hasn't played in years.

Since he's retired from the game I've decided to put him in the Cali polls because he played most of his career in San Diego

You know there are going to be problems if you tell NY fans that they can choose Giants or Jets nicknames since they play in New Jersey

Well, I'm not complaining or giving you a hard time, but I would have liked to see "The Captain" (Jason Kidd) or "Doctor J" (Julius Erving).

Of the choices, I'll go Vinsanity.

Alright guys, it's a tie between Revis and Carter, I voted for Revis myself and since I'm not a nets fan I'll recind my vote. So I guess I'll declare Vinsanity - Vince Carter the winner
