We (Canada) are the much weaker team so I am pleased to be level at 0-0 at the half.

I think you will likely get a goal or two this half, but for now I am happy with our defense.

That was a pathetic match and shows why we're probably **** for years to come: our C team (who we started with) was all MLS and all of them **** the bed horribly. Then Gatt comes on sprinting up and down the left flank like an idiot and complaining whenever he's touched...and HE'S the future for us? God, he has a long way to go. Even Clint didn't look that raw as a youngster. Below are my thoughts on some guys that stood out to me:

Wondolowski - LOL. Get him off the USMNT. That's nice that he's tearing up the MLS, but he's pathetic as a lone striker.

Eddie Johnson - Best player in that starting 11 by a mile.

Gonzalez - Looked good. I'd peg him as a starter for the WC with Cameron.

Zusi - LOL at playing him out wide. Someone that **** slow shouldn't be near a wing position.

Beckerman - Game still 5 steps too fast for him.

Outisde fullbacks - They sucked. horribly like pathetically horribly. They were tasked with guarding...nobody and they still could barely contribute to the attack. Marlowe seemed OK.

Feilhaber - Forgot he was even out there in the second half, but was clearly a cut above the starters.

Agudelo - Still not good enough. He should try to become a winger.

Bedoya - Average depth. Nothing to see here.

Gatt - I see the potential, and despite Lalas comparing him to Cobi Jones we have NEVER had a player with his pace before. Ever. He needs a lot of careful development and I think Jurgen gets that. I think he has a ceiling of Aaron Lennon, but he needs to start realizing that as a winger it's ok to sprint to the corner flag and deliver a cross, you don't have to go 1 on 11. Unless you're Gareth Bale ;)

Gatt is the future of US soccer, whether we like it or not. His attitude has me concerned that we're in for a Wynalda situation, but I hope that's not the case.

Please call up Altidore, tired of him being frozen out.

Id like to see a 4-3-1-2, with Altidore/Eddie up top. Dempsey as the CAM. Bradley in the middle with 2 of Jones/Kljestan/Edu.

The back 4 would be Fabian/Boca/Cameron or Gonzalez/Chandler.

4-4-2 with Altidore and Dempsey at the top. Eddie playing Left midfield. It's what i saw on US Soccer's FB page. Good Seeing Gonzalez get the start too.

Silky smooth setup and finish. The humidity has obviously been affecting the play somewhat, but that was just a beautiful goal. Hopefully they can get to half 1-0, because the D has made a few mistakes that could be have been costly.

LOVE the lineup for a few reasons, the main of which is that I would not disagree with any of the selections. The only kinda questionable one might be Eddie, but god he's been brilliant lately. I'd like to see a case to hold him out of the starting lineup...I can't think of one.

Our outside backs are awesome, Cameron is in form and Altidore is back!

Dempsey has been **** for Tottenham lately so hopefully that doesn't affect him here.

LOVE the Gonzalez over Boca move. Boca has seniority and yadda yadda, but Gonzalez is better, bigger, faster and younger. He makes all the right moves and gives us a threat on corners. This is a move Bob Bradley would have never made.

someone else should probably provide an actual recap...i only turned it on five mins before the Dempsey goal. Looked like USA was in control, with some good movement in the midfield and attack. and then Honduras leveled with a beauty

It was a weird half all-around. The altitude/humidity have had a real impact on the game. 90% of the corners/crosses have sailed way over the intended target, and players look exhausted after any sort of sprint.

First 10 or 15 minutes were pretty much dominated by Honduras. Howard made a few very good saves after a couple of mistakes by US defenders. For the most part the US was clearing the ball deep and didn't even look to hold possession during that first part of the game. Then around the 10 minute mark the US had a few very good runs and earned couple corners, which built some momentum for them.

US defenders started creeping closer towards half at this point, which finally allowed them to do some damage when in Honduras's half of the pitch. The goal was awesome play lead by Jermaine, who I think was responsible for bring the ball up the field initially during that possession. Obviously a clinical finish by Dempsey as well.

It was pretty even after the first 10 minutes of the game, with maybe a slight edge to the US imo.

Bradley made a few very good passes in the middle of the field, but for the most part was unimpressive.

Howard was excellent in the first half, in the right spot every single time he was called upon (outside of the goal, where he had no chance).

Johnson looked good for the most part, although he somewhat mis-hit a header where he had a pretty clear look at goal off of a corner.
