"Lionel Hollins has been left scrambling to fill the center position beyond Marc Gasol for the Memphis Grizzlies following the trades of Mo Speights and Hamed Haddadi.

The Grizzlies were outmatched by Luis Scola and Marcin Gortat when Gasol got into foul trouble in the Grizzlies' 96-90 loss to the Suns.

"One of the issues that I have is that neither Darrell (Arthur) or Ed (Davis) are fives. We don't have another big guy. We weren't able to play big and have two bigger people across the board because we don't have a bigger guy to put in the game."

Morris, ebanks, and sacre for J. Bayless
Bayless will be solid off the bench.

If they would take duhon, jamison, sacre, and morris for bayless. I would do it in heartbeat!

why the **** would any team trade something of value for sacre, morris and ebanks when you can pick up players of greater or equal value from the d-league?

Bayless wouldn't be a terrible pickup but no way we can let Jamison go at this point unless we're getting another big in return.

Hill and Sacre, they get some immediate help in sacre, and have a solid back up center/pf in hill.... for bayless. Is another option. We got options. Bayless is underated as well. His toronto days had me drooling. I was shocked memphis got him for so cheap

I think Derozan, Bargnani, Fields for Pau makes sense for both teams, if the Lakers are willing to give up future capspace to try and fix this situation. That return D'Antoni's the lineup with a shooting big, athlete and glue guy he liked before. Also Derozan might actually help you resign Howard because it's insane how many BFF relationships that guy builds, give him a few months with the Lakers and he and Howard may be boys

it takes away from the lebron plan to go after bargs... I rather let earl clark do his thing.

What we need is a more solid bench. not one player that MIGHT help. honestly gasol helps this team way more than bargs. He should not even be discussed. We need a bench, get younger, and financial flexibility... nothing else. Oh and Lebron :P

I would rather get Lowry than Derozan. We can give them Steve " " and duhon for their troubles.

Pau's injury is annoying. We finally start playing decent ball for the first time all year and one of the key components to that success goes down with an injury. It's going to be interesting to see how the team responds with no Pau or Dwight but it would be wrong to expect much.

Pau trade value definetly went up over these last couple of games, unfortunate for us with his injury, trade or no trade we are SOL now. Feel like Walton esque, dude seemed to always have some mysterious injury during the trade deadline period

One good thing about Pau being hurt... Don't have to hear anymore Bargnani trade ideas for a while.

now is the perfect time to trade for Pau for Bargs + fillers. Pau will be out for a couple of months and Andrea will be back soon.

what would you rather have, an all star Gasol sitting on the sidelines or a healthy Bargnani playing?

I have to agree with doc on this one. The only way I take Bargs is if we get lowry and pieces back and we get to unload bad contracts like Duhon and Blake. That aint happening.

I swear Bargs is actually better than he gets credit for.

The only real trade options the Lakers have is Chris Duhon & Jodi Meeks right now, I doubt Meeks is dealt but I can see Duhon being dealt and maybe acquire someone like Lou Amundson for a 2nd Round Pick. I can see something like that. I would say try to deal Duhon for Raja Bell and acquire someone like Amundson until Dwight gets back.

PG - S. Nash/S. Blake
SG - K. Bryant/J. Meeks
SF - R. Artest/R. Bell
PF - E. Clark/A. Jamison
C - D. Howard/L. Amundson

It's a small upgrade for the bench until they can get Pau back (who I think will get the surgery once the second opinion confirms it's the best choice). The Lakers need to think small and I would still consider a Dwight Howard for Brook Lopez and Future Picks deal if Dwight won't get his act together.

Ask people on the Raptors board and you will get an honest answer
