Scenario #1 - I take the bus to work every day. There is this girl on the bus that is kind of cute. I don't know her but we are on the same bus pretty much every day so I could very easily pick her out of a crowd. I know the tambor of her voice because there have been enough times where we have pretty much been the only two people on the bus and we have this wonderful thing called technology (cellphones) so I have heard it enough over the last 3 years that I could again, probably pick out her voice despite barely saying a handful of words to each other over that time.

If I try and talk to her all of a sudden and she turns away, that doesn't mean that I have the right to continue to pursue her. If I get off the bus at her stop and follow her. I'm stalking.

Scenario #2 - I watch the Raptors pretty much every time they play. I've been a huge fan for years and I have this huge obsession with the team. There is this guy who does commentary nearly every day and I could easily pick his face out of a crowd. I have never personally spoken to him but we have this wonderful thing called technology (television) and I have heard it enough that I could again, probably pick out his voice despite never speaking a word to him over that time.

If I try and talk to him all of a sudden and he turns away, that doesn't mean that I have the right to continue to pursue him. If I chase him down the aisles of a grocery store and follow him. I'm stalking.

Hold on, so you pursued a random girl on the bus?

no you read it wrong. he wouldn't go for it again. It's only stalking if you don't stop after the 4th or 5th rejection.

I think it's fine re approach Leo at the Longos. Don't go on TV if you don't want to accept the reach media has on your name and identity.

Back in the day due to my work I met several maple leaf players and coaches.
They were always friendly.

Pursued. No. I was trying to highlight that chasing after a guy AFTER he already showed an unwillingness to engage in friendly stranger chit-chat is creepy. There is nothing wrong with trying to start a conversation. But if you get shut down and then decide to chase after the person, that is just inherently wrong regardless of whether they are a random nobody on the bus or a guy who puts himself in the media spotlight as a player/announcer.

They have to accept that people are going to try and talk to them, but we really shouldn't think that they are automatons who only exist to serve our interest. They have lives too. Their job just happens to be in the public eye. I'd be pissed if a guy chased me around trying to talk to me when I was trying to do errands.

Years ago I saw Mike Bullard (remember him) at Square One, and briefly followed him around the mall.

About to pass out but I figured i'd shoot you guys one more. I wish I was making these up. Living in MLS, if for nothing more, has provided great entertainment. I was going into RealSports two nights ago to meet a buddy when I see Lebron and Dwade literally just chilling out. I quickly assess the surroundings to see if there is any security around and to my surprise, there are only servers and patrons around. I identify the best path to get to them and decide that, this time, I'm gonna take the direct approach. I walk right up to them and go, "LBJ! DWade!!" They both look up at me (bear in mind they are lounging on a couch with cellphones in hand and their hats pulled down low). Wade goes "wassup man." I go, "not much, i was just wondering..." when Lebron interrupts and goes, "you with these girls?" as he gestures behind me. I whip my head around and see two gorgeous blondes glancing over in their direction. I nervously reply, "y-ya, man." and I wave them over.

The girls smile and instantly start walking over. Wade and LBJ's body language completely begin to change as they start to adjust for the ladies. Once the girls arrive Wade says something like "why dont you guys sit down" and motions toward the empty space between him and Lebron. The two girls start walkin to sit down and im thinking "**** it man, this could be the only time in my life i get to chat with these guys, im sitting down too" and at the last second i squeeze myself between the girl closest to lebron and himself. You could tell for a minute that he was stunned but I played it off.

Wade was loving the fact that the couch was now tight because this sexy blonde was basically having to sit on him. Lebron was buried in his phone at this point. I kind of poke my neck out and lean over his shoulder, look at his phone screen and go, "checking your fantasy teams?" and started laughing. He literally stared blankly at me and looked back at his phone and tilted it away from me. At this point I look up and there is this huge black guy standing directly in front of me, staring down at us as if something was wrong. I go "you wanna sit down?" He goes "no, but you got to go". I look at Lebron hoping that he will do something to stop it and he just stares back at me blankly. I stand up and am "escorted away" by this ****.

After seeing all of the interviews Lebron has done, I was disgusted by his lack of empathy toward a fan. The funny thing is, Leo has the same size ego as Lebron. Both are scumbags but at least Lebron is recognizable outside of downtown Toronto.

lol I thought this thread was about him talking about Alan Anderson. "Even when he has a bad shooting game, Alan still has the confidence to continue shooting, hoping he'll get the next shot" or something ridiculous like that. Yes its great when a horrible shooter continues shooting. We should start booing him every time he commentates, everything he says is BS.

Thats a 7-footer out there!

And poster above, you sound pretty annoying. If a stranger started looking at my phone, I would get pissed too. Especially people who mention fantasy sports. and you ****blocked him. thats like 3 strikes right there

Leo comes in with some person I didnt recognize.

Leo goes to me as I pass by. "Can you get me a bottle of San Pelligrino?

Me knowing who Leo was decided to get the bottle myself even though it was outside my duties. I should have told the waiter. But because I wanted to serve Leo I got the bottle. and brought ice out in their glasses.

When Leo saw the ice his eyes nearly popped out of his head. He yells at me. goes "I expect to be treated with a certain level of hospitality when I come here!!!"

Needless to say he mentioned it to the server and I got talked to by the manager because of leo friggin rautins.

yeah. it is a big sin to have ice with bottled water/sparkling water. defeats the purpose of having a bottled water

The Main Event must be trolling. These stories can't be real. How can you be that socially inept?

On a related note, is Milos Raunic a naturalized Canadian or was he born here? Because he sounded like he didn't know English.
