Mike Bullard came into the Best Buy I used to work at, and wanted to buy an FM Transmitter. The store was pretty quiet when he came in, so i left my department and went to the audio section to personally help him and give him advice on which one to buy (I had read up a bunch on them when I bought mine, so i knew pretty much everything one would need to look for when purchasing one).

The guy was a dick. I wasn't being overly talkative, or even saying "hey, you're Mike Bullard". But I was being very polite and giving him great advice. He made some slick comment about the service in the store before he walked away. I didn't even mention that I bothered to go to one of his late night show tapings when he actually had a show and had Mandy Moore on.

I've also seen Pinball Clemens at a garden centre in Milton back when he was coaching the Argos. He seemed really friendly, but I didn't go over to talk to him. Figured I'd let him be.

I have ALOT more from previous years including a run-in with Kevin O'Neil that ended up with someone getting a bloody lip. Will get into them later if people have any interest hearing them.

I was going into RealSports two nights ago to meet a buddy when I see Lebron and Dwade literally just chilling out. I quickly assess the surroundings to see if there is any security around and to my surprise, there are only servers and patrons around. I identify the best path to get to them and decide that, this time, I'm gonna take the direct approach. I walk right up to them and go, "LBJ! DWade!!" They both look up at me (bear in mind they are lounging on a couch with cellphones in hand and their hats pulled down low). Wade goes "wassup man." I go, "not much, i was just wondering..." when Lebron interrupts and goes, "you with these girls?" as he gestures behind me. I whip my head around and see two gorgeous blondes glancing over in their direction. I nervously reply, "y-ya, man." and I wave them over.

The girls smile and instantly start walking over. Wade and LBJ's body language completely begin to change as they start to adjust for the ladies. Once the girls arrive Wade says something like "why dont you guys sit down" and motions toward the empty space between him and Lebron. The two girls start walkin to sit down and im thinking "**** it man, this could be the only time in my life i get to chat with these guys, im sitting down too" and at the last second i squeeze myself between the girl closest to lebron and himself. You could tell for a minute that he was stunned but I played it off.

Wade was loving the fact that the couch was now tight because this sexy blonde was basically having to sit on him. Lebron was buried in his phone at this point. I kind of poke my neck out and lean over his shoulder, look at his phone screen and go, "checking your fantasy teams?" and started laughing. He literally stared blankly at me and looked back at his phone and tilted it away from me. At this point I look up and there is this huge black guy standing directly in front of me, staring down at us as if something was wrong. I go "you wanna sit down?" He goes "no, but you got to go". I look at Lebron hoping that he will do something to stop it and he just stares back at me blankly. I stand up and am "escorted away" by this ****.

After seeing all of the interviews Lebron has done, I was disgusted by his lack of empathy toward a fan. The funny thing is, Leo has the same size ego as Lebron. Both are scumbags but at least Lebron is recognizable outside of downtown Toronto.

So let me get this straight...

- You followed Leo Rautins down an aisle at a grocery store, and when he clearly indicates he doesn't want to have a conversation, you yell his name out to the whole store?

- You crept closer and closer to Sherm when he was shopping for fruit to ask him about Bargnani's future with the team.

- And you forcefully wedged yourself between LeBron and a hot blonde to not only c*ckblock him and get ignored, but then look over his shoulder at his phone and use ur go-to conversation starter for a famous athlete, which was "you're checking your fantasy teams?".

lol. Sorry bro. That's pretty damn creepy.

LMAO..

I just read Main Event's stories and I'm cracking up.. dude it sounds like a **** comedy and you're George Costanza..

what the hell is wrong with you? These guys are leisurely shopping at grocery stores and you're a grocery store creeper? Bringing your cart around looking for these guys and stalking them behind aisle shelves waiting for the perfect moment? Slowly moving behind them pretending to be picking out things and whispering in their ear about the Raptors?

"Psst.. Sherm.. don't worry we're on the DL here.. no one will know I know you're Sherm.. how big is DeRozan's cock?"

Dude.. you can't be serious, you think they're egotistical douchebags because they were creeped out by the creepy grocery store stalker from RealGM?

Main event, like somebody else mentioned earlier..I read both of your stories, and I feel as if you are the problem.

You come across as somebody who is extremely encroaching in real life.

Part of being an effective communicator is gauging how much another person has invited you into their personal "space", and then going forward..or not. You can't assume that because these guys are on t.v, that they are just going to be open to being buddy buddy and social with a stranger. It doesn't make them egotistical or anything, it's their right. There are several factors at play...how about time, being in a rush, issues in their own lives or just having a bad moment/day?

For example:

I randomly ran into Doug Gilmour at the boat show a couple of weeks ago.....now he was my favourite player growing up, and this was the first time I had ever seen him in person... What did I do? Just a quick nod as he passed by like I would for ANYONE in that exact moment...he returned the favour with a smile and we both continued on walking. He was with his wife/girlfriend/whatever she was..had I followed him though in a male groupie like manner...perhaps the experience would have been sour? It doesn't matter, because I wouldn't have followed him.

*Edit*..after reading that Lebron story... you HAVE to be trolling us. At least I hope, for your own sake..lol

Main Event is just trolling us. Otherwise if that's real we have a confirmed psychotic poster on this board. But I can imagine things like this happening all the time for celebrities. Why do ordinary people suddenly become mindless idiots when they see somebody famous?

These guys probably have it rough. For every person who approaches them, its a new experience. But nobody realizes this happens to them multiple times per DAY. Every time somebody comes up to them they probably go 'here we go again', and maybe tense up because this person could be a psycho. You take precaution just to go the grocery store. Going to a restaurant or for a walk with your kids becomes an ordeal that you have to plan out. I can't imagine living that kind of life. But I guess with the money they rake in its a trade off.

Funny you should mention Sherm. Because I live in MLS i often run into random players and coaching staff at that Longos. Last October i see Sherm coming down the escalator to Longos as im going up. He was looking down at his phone and as we passed eachother I go "Sherm! Love ya man!" Sherm looked up, smiled, waved his hand at me in acknowledgement and continued down. I got to the top, stood there for a brief second as endorphins flooded my brain and decided to go back down the escalator to see if I could ask him what he thought about Bargs goin into the upcoming season.

When I got back down I quickly darted around to see where he was. When I finally spotted him in the produce section, I very non-chalantly began to act as if I was selecting fruit from a nearby bin. I slowly crept my way over to him and said, "WHat do you think about Bargs goin into this season?" His head literally whips up and, startled, he goes, "wh, what? I dunno man." and looked back at the colliflower he was holding. I go, "i didnt mean to startle you dude, i just wanted to let you know..." and he literally starts walking away.

These guys have such big egos, its ridiculous. They need a serious reaity check. NOONE would recognize them outside of hardcore Raps fans, right?

No offense, but you come off as pretty creepy with these Leo & Sherm stories that you shared so I can see why they would be angered by you...

Right, but don't act like you dont wish you had the balls to engage him in a conversation in that moment. A quick nod is what you got, a lifelong story is what you could have had. Personally, I hate regret. Absolutely hate it.

I ran into Tie Domi recently at a night club. His head is freaking enormous. Didn't approach him.

2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.
