A few things: Tim Duncan is the Spurs center and he's been having a great season thus far.

This league isn't about PG. I get what you are saying though: the NBA is about extreme athleticism and skill, not necessarily size.

And Dwight doesn't necessarily have offensive skill. Defensively he does though. This season he most definitely does not have his normal athleticism, but let me ask you this: since we will never have LeBron or Durant, who else do you want?

Rose isn't leaving Chicago. Irving is just a PG, he's not leading his team to any championships until he gets the kind of team that CP3 has around him. CP3 is not going to hold up forever, because of those knees. IMO Dwight is going to be behind LBJ & Durant, but it is what it is. We traded for Kobe at the draft and we hit the lotto.

A healthy Dwight is the next best thing. The reason the league doesn't have great centers is not because great centers don't work. It's because the current generation isn't athletic enough to hang with these new young, long, skilled guys. But a healthy Dwight? You can build a different team off of him. Maybe he's uncoachable. Because really, he should play in the PnR and not be a bitch about it. Why? Because he isn't skilled enough back to the basket.

But building a team around Dwight and not expecting him to be Shaq, but instead be a Russell. That's more like it.

The last time he was healthy, 2010-2011 Dwight, the 22.9 ppg/14.1 rpg/2.4 bpg -- that guy you can build around. Just gotta be the right pieces.

If Dwight had a Bill Russell mentality there wouldn't be any problems. But he doesn't. He wants more touches offensively and this and that... when only Al Jefferson gets more touches than he does on the block throughout the entire league. Dwight gets stripped 5 times in a game... doesn't get a shot off... doesn't count as a touch to him. lol Dwight gets a shot off, gets fouled (misses the free throws)... it's not an official FGA, so it doesn't count as a shot attempt to him. lol I like Dwight as a player. I do. I respect what he brings, but I think everybody can agree that it's gonna be a slippery slope for us if Dwight holds 22mill of our cap space going forward. Building an offense around Dwight? A jack up 3s- offense like Orlando had? I hope not. Lakers were 5pts away from sweeping Orlando in 2009. Just sayin.

know what's missing with this roster? a big that's of the same frequency of aggressiveness and drive like Kobe, Steve, and Metta. someone who will talk smack and will back it up, regardless if he's having an off night or not getting enough touches.

I'm now pushing for Kenyon Martin.

Zach Randolph is disgruntled in Memphis. What's his contract situation looking like? If Memphis is tanking this year anyway, would they want the Gasol bros next year?
