Head and jaw size remained normal through aging so no. Never even put a thought into or any more after reading this ridiculous thread which should be locked.

I heard he actually took performance decreasing drugs out of pity for the rest of the league. When Stern found out he secretly suspended him for 2 years during which time he went to play baseball

Hard to say, but one thing is sure: Stern agreed to send NBA players to Barcelona under one condition - they would not be tested (anti drug) as other athletes. So it's pretty obvious NBA players at the time were using some illegal substances. But which ones exactly we can't know.

MJ started to lift because, if I remember right, Detroit was beating the snot out of him and he wanted to be able to take the pounding better. That was in the "old days" when you could get away with a lot more physical play.

I also remember hearing something about how MJ would not lift with some other guys on the team, because MJ wasn't that strong on his lifts (didn't want to look bad). If that is the case, that he wasn't particularly strong, that would make me really doubt he ever did any kind of PED.

MJ had a big frame; wide shoulders and good natural muscularity. He would be an "easy gainer" for muscle. I doubt he would need to use anything to get larger.

1. Do we have proof of Stern demanding that or is it another internet urban legend and
2. There could have been substances legal in the NBA but illegal in the olympics. We don't know how stringent they were with regard to each other.
