Now Sheridian is saying we are trading burks for Ridnour
Luke Ridnour is being shopped by the Minnesota Timberwolves, and a league source told SheridanHoops.com “there is a good chance” the 10th-year point guard will be dealt before the Feb. 21 trade deadline.
With Ricky Rubio back from an injury that wiped out the first half of his season, the T-Wolves have a glut at the position with J.J. Berea also under contract (for this season plus two more). Ridnour has a reasonable contract ($4 million this season, $4.3 million next season) and is a steady playmaker who has spent the majority of his career with bad teams, having appeared in the playoffs just twice.
A second source said the Timberwolves and Jazz had discussed a trade involving Utah guard Alec Burks, but said those talks had been tabled. Utah is in the market for a point guard with Mo Williams out until late March or early August and Earl Watson day to day with a foot injury. As reported on SheridanHoops.com yesterday, a point guard — Patty Mills or Nando de Colo — would be made available to them as part of a larger package that would send center Al Jefferson to San Antonio.

Re: Now Sheridian is saying we are trading burks for Ridnour
lol lucky might be a stretch. jazz arent going to trade burks for ridnour, it makes no sense. sheridan has really thrown out some crappy ass rumors.
Maybe this conversation between Kahn and O'Connor and Lindsey did happen, but i bet it happened like this:
Kahn: Hey Dennis, Kevin, I got a proposal for you, how would you like Luke Ridnour?
KOC+Dennis: We are interested, do you want some future second round picks? some cash?
Kahn: We want Alec Burks and a pick
KOC+Dennis: Eat a bag of penis Kahn.
And that was probably the end of the "Discussion" that sheridan is reporting. For a guy who is supposedly connected and respected, he seems to stretch a lot to drive internet traffic. Any reasonable basketball following person would look at the last two trades Sheridan wrote up and realize it makes no sense for the jazz.

What you cant be serious... Ridnour is no scrub.. putting up 12/3/4/1 a game. Imo Luke would be a huge asset to you guys especially since moe is out. The trade I heard was either Luke for Burks with 2nd rounders/cash thrown in on either side. Or Luke for Bell and the worse of your picks (Golden state?)

Bell and the worse of the 1st rounders is fine. No way on Burks. 12/3/4/1 is pretty borderline for a guy getting a lot of minutes.

Re: Now Sheridian is saying we are trading burks for Ridnour
I would much rather keep all of our picks to try creating a package to move up in the draft. Jazz need to jump on the opportunity to get one of Smart, Cater-Williams, McCollum or Burke.
Ridnour is a fine player, but all he would do is help keep the Jazz barely above-average. If the move doesn't #1 help make us a contender or #2 help us build for the future, It seems pointless to me.

Re: Now Sheridian is saying we are trading burks for Ridnour
All im saying is that were in no postion to make the playoffs this year and are better off tanking for a chance to get a prospect. If you guys make it to the 7th or 8th seed I feel Ridnour would be able to help you guys in the playoffs. Are you guys labeling Hayward untouchable?

I can't see the Jazz trading any of Burks, Hayward, Favors or Kanter for Luke Freaking Ridnour.

Re: Now Sheridian is saying we are trading burks for Ridnour
i would go out on a limb and say that hayward is untouchable. kanter, favors and hayward are for sure untouchable. burks could possibly be untouchable, im not sure. his minutes and performance as of late may solidify that. everybody else is probably available.
in response the rumor of raja bell, i dont see that happening at all. why would any team take him? hes definitely not in game shape and i dont see him helping out in minny at all. stupid trade idea. this whole trade is bogus though theres no way the jazz give up burks who is a much better player than ridnour, for ridnour. it doesnt do much to improve that jazz. if anything, it just upsets the team chemistry in the locker room.

Yeah because us tanking obviously gets us one of your "precious prospects" . Tanking means losing on purpose to get a good draft pick, which would help us to get a young prospect... You know every team has a chance to draft a player right? Im saying since our season is **** and Luke is still producing maybe you guys would want him to make a possible run in the playoffs.. And all I was asking is if you guys are labeling Hayward untouchable..

He's not untouchable but we would expect a borderline all-star back for him, at least in conjunction with another player like Burks.

I really don't understand where you're going with this.
Do I want to trade Burks for Ridnour? No
Do I want to trade Hayward for Ridnour? No
Do I care who Minnesota drafts or if they tank or not? No <---- don't understand what this has to do with anything

I would not worry too much: we know our FO will not trade unless they see a clear upside. There isn't any here, so our FO will not trade. Simple as that.

how did the subject of tanking even come up? ps the jazz will never tank even if it might be better in the long run, the front office has to much pride to tank.

I said were most likely going to tank because our Gold medalist broke his hand twice this season, Chase Budinger tore his MCL, Rubio is taking time to get back to his normal self after his ACL tear,Josh Howard, Malcolm Lee and Brandon Roy all out for the season with knee injuries, AK47,JJ,Shved,and Pekovic have all missed time due to injuries to so yeah we are sort of unintentionally tanking. It came up when I said we dont need him, maybe this borderline playoff team could use him instead of us seeing as they dont have many better options at PG.
