Anyone remember Sonics-Bulls finals where Karl was reluctant to put Payton on Jordan, but when he did Jordan had some of the worst playoff performances of his career.

DPOY Payton...Karl wait til he's almost swept before common sense kicked.

Karl is a playoff choke artist....his record shows it.

You dont get praise for taking a team to the finals and damn near get swept.

Then choking to an 8th seed is unheard of.

Karl is what his playoff record is.... .439 perennial loser, with all-star HOF talent mind you.

I don't know. Haven't given it as much thought as you obviously did. I don't think the Sonics team that went to the finals underachieved. I don't think any team that goes to the finals can be said to underachieve. In other years - yes, but never as badly as D'antoni did with the Knicks or the Lakers right now.

In any case, I don't want to have a general Geroge Karl debate. He is a good X/Os guy and that's as far as I'll go (which was my entire point).

He's a .439 coach in the playoffs...trash

Don Nelson D'antoni George Karl...regular season geniuses....playoff doo-doo.

The sad thing is, Woodson has a reputation for being one of the playoff doo-doo coaches :/

He's not as bad as Karl, but his inability to game plan for Lebron in the playoffs is pretty concerning.

How exactly do you game plan for LeBron?

I'm not a basketball coach, but obviously other guys like Frank Vogel Doc Rivers and SVG did as they were able to beat Lebron while Woodson I believe is 1-8 against him, with that one win being almost meaningless.

Orlando must have done something right when they swept his team in the ECF awhile back while Woodson's team just got swept by Lebron's.

Let's see what Orlando had that we didn't last year:

Dwight Howard
A bench
Someone to run the offense
Perimeter defenders

Yeah, it's called Dwight Howard. No one can stop him now though.

I blame Woodson for not making a gameplan that makes Tyson better than 2009 Dwight
