I wonder how many championships will the Nets win now that they're a better team than the Knicks according to Charles Barkley.

When the Nets win it all this year, do you think that they will sweep whoever represents the Western Conference in the NBA finals? Or will the Nets be generous enough and allow themselves to win the championship in 5 games?

Pretty sure Nets are gonna quintuplepeat. Not sure how anyone can beat that core group in a 7 game series. Theyve got high IQ beasts like Evans and Blatche coming off the bench too. '13 Nets >>> 96 Bulls

Even mentioning the '13 Nets in the same paragraph as the '96 Bulls is a disgrace. The fact that Charles Barkley who is known as one of the greatest defensive players of all time and has more rings than Jordan, Bird and Magic and is the Isaac Newton of basketball analysts picked the Brooklyn Nets to finish the 2012-13 regular season ahead of the NY Knicks proves that this group of Nets players are perhaps better than any men's US olympic team we've seen in the past 20 plus years.

I guess I used the wrong example, put I still feel like Woodson, like Karl, is awful in the playoffs.

Someone needs to convince Grant Hill that he shouldn't retire but play at least one more season with the Knicks.

Could you imagine the 1994-95 co-rookies of the year playing on the same team in 2014?

If Grant Hill bait and switching ass wants to sit courtside in a suit at MSG, he can pay for it like all the other rich people.

You can't really blame Grant Hill for what he did in the offseason in recent years. If I was a professional basketball player in his late 30's with a history of health problems I would choose the Phoenix Suns medical staff over the Knicks medical staff.

He used us for leverage, he should have made his choice without the Knicks name in it and see how much gets.

It's not necessarily losing, but he's struggled a lot against teams that he should probably beat. In 2009 it took him 7 games to beat the Heat in round one, before getting swept by the Cavs, and then in 2010 it took him 7 games to beat the Bucks before getting swept by the Magic.

Also, I hate his switching philosophy. Having his team switch every time and have Felton on a C while Chandler is on a G will get exploited in playoff basketball, along with Kidd's defense.

Wade was a beast at that point in time, dropping off 30 a game.

I thought the Bucks were pretty even with them actually, not surprised they didn't put them away.

I dont think his philosophy is to have blatant mismatch, that's on the player.

but i certainly can't fault a coach if he won the matchups he was supposed to no matter how long it takes.

I guess I'll wait until the end of this season to continue this debate.

These playoffss will be very telling when it comes to Woodson being an amateur or professional when it comes to the post-season. I really hope I'm wrong on Woodson though, because right now I just don't see it.

That's fine, but i do believe players decide alot more than coaches.

I'm certainly not gonna give Spoelstra great coach status for having the Miami Heat, just like Brooks gets little props with the Thunder.

Here is something I learned being on RealGM

Every single fanbase, with the exception of the Spurs, thinks their coach is an idiot.

I never said Woodson is an idiot, I just think he leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to the playoffs.

If you think Felton switching on a center is by coaches design, you're calling him an idiot.

I think giving his players the green-light to do that kind of thing is a pretty stupid thing, but that's only one aspect of coaching.

He does a lot of things well, and just because he doesn't do a few things the way I like doesn't mean he's an idiot.

Herb gave an interview pretty much saying that the switching is by design Thugger. I don't know if they have exceptions, but I don't like it. They are coached to switch though.
