Best Free Agent

Post#1 » by Lava Rock Kid » Sat Feb 9, 2013 3:49 am

Who is the best free agent to ever sign with Utah, This is the best player that wasnt drafted for or traded for.

I believe it was Boozer, ANd I hate that he gets booed because of that. Am I forgetting any other player that was better. I like Foye, but Boozer was an allstar for this team.

Yeah, Booz is arguably the most talented. Okur is a personal favorite.

I don't know, I think there are a lot of guys in trade rumors who make better choices. I just can't see Jazz giving up Jefferson this early. Millsap has made his rounds here, and is ready for a move. I mean how could you just decide to remove Jefferson when he plays games like he did tonight versus Bulls(we could have played them in a playoff situation and did ok(better than 0-4)). If this would have been like this all year, Big Al +20-+10 and Millsap +20-+5, and this put us ahead of Memphis and GS, we could have been the two All Stars over Aldridge and Hardin.

Marvin is cool and all, but Hayward and Carroll are way better. I say trade Paul and Marvin this season, bring in some guys to play through next year or get some draft picks, even if good 2014 1st rounder picks, and have Hayward and Carroll come in off bench so were use to playing together. Then Swoop our 3 drafts this year, play this current system through next year, and swoop up on some more draft picks, and shift our young guys in with Jefferson. I mean he is the only man on this team worth building a team around.

13/14-Next Year: (2 new 1st rounders, and 1 2nd rounder) 2013 draft
Mo/Foye/Hayward/Favors/Jefferson *This is sufficent if Millsap is traded away while he is still worth something

14/15-Following Year: (1 new 1st rounder, and 1 2nd rounder) 2014 draft
Burks/Foye/Hayward/Favors/Jefferson *Trade Mo and Marvin by this time

15/16-The Next: (1 new 1st rounder, and 1 2nd rounder) 2015 draft
Draft/Burks/Hayward/Favors/Kanter *Trade Jefferson unless he is an Allstar(kanter should be way ready by now)

I mean Mo, Marvin, Millsap and Bell should be worth something, and are replaceable, especially if we hit the draft hard. I would like to see Watson or Tinsley come on as player trainers, they help our younglings. Jefferson is the only one I would feel bad about ditching, unless it ends up like the Dwill trade where we get Favors and Harris and two first round picks which ended up being Kanter(and GS got Barnes)! But I want a lottery team to trade with Jefferson so we can end up getting nice draft pick.

I mean Jefferson, Millsap, Mo, Marvin, Bell and even Foye are worth enough to seal some nice deals.

Why are people so obsessed with who gets booed and who doesn't?

Anyway, yeah, Boozer is probably the best free agent coup in franchise history.

So your saying because of how jefferson played tonight we shouldn't trade him? Dude what does it tell you when he has nights where he scores 32 points and we still don't win? he doesn't help us win, a lot of people can put up raw numbers but not help their team. Our offense goes to **** when he is on the floor, there is absolutely no movement, it's dump it to al and see what happens. Watch the difference between the starters and the bench's offense, that's why it's so much more fun to watch the bench play.

Ryan, with all the respect in the world because you seem like a nice guy, can you keep your comments a little more on topic in each thread?

I watched the game last and saw how the Sacramento fan base treated John & Karl in their last game and I remember that game and how it made me tear up. I think our fans have class and would do something like that for a retiring player but why do we show no class when our own come back? Boozer wasn't a villain, neither was Deron or Fisher and yet we boo them?

We are starting to get a negative reputation for that and it will hurt us. Too much Utah insecurity going around if you ask me ... I lived it for 15 years and understand it even better now that I live outside of Utah in another community that feels inferior... KC.
