This is in no way lame. This is the first time I heard of it, but I think it's pretty cool. I always thought he was a douche for giving himself the nickname Black Mamba, but once I heard this, I feel like he justified himself. Given the kind of guy Kobe is in public, it fits him. PEACE.

It's just a way to call for the ball without having to talk. Also I know what the OP is talking about but its not really a hiss, but I'm not too sure what else to call it. It's like a hiss without sounding lispy.
