btw, what the hell can we do with that trade exception? it cannot be included as a part of a package, and it will move us north of the lux tax so i don't see what we can really do with it at all.
ehhhhh f it.

Re: Trade Idea Thread II
well well well. this site has an article about paul pierce refusing to be a part of boston's rebuilding phase that is inevitable. does this mean the rumor of KG and PP is actually a possibility now?
DJ+Bled+caron+lamar+thompkins for PP+KG+barbosa, it surely is a short sighted move, but it can bring us as the favorite to win it all this season.
CP3-----barbosa
Billups---crossover----green
PP------barnes
Blake------hill
KG------turiaf--------hollins
i don't see a weakness on this roster if we are healthy going into playoffs
just a little thought, but

Re: Trade Idea Thread II
What about the fact we would be undermanned when Barnes gets T'd up time after time in the playoffs and has to sit out a game? Man I would love CP3 to pull him aside and try to talk some sense into him. Don't lose the fire that is making him such a good player this season but Barnes already has 10 Ts!

Re: Trade Idea Thread II
yeah forget that idea, having to watch this team lose without our starters made me weak and hoping to improve quickly by adding star power but now i am pumped to see our team back at full strength.
even caron should be more effective now that we have two HOF PGs starting. can't wait for today's game to start.

JJ Hickson for Bledsoe? gives you a solid big to bolster your PF/C position for a title run

Sounds good. But let's also trade Willie Green and Caron Butler for Batum. This will give you solid veterans to solidify your SG/SF. Haha
We're not good trade partners. You already have Lillard at the point. We have Blake, DJ, Odom manning the 4/5 spots.
We need a legit SG or SF.

Throw in a pick swap and your second for Trey Thompkins and I'd consider it.
MCW with the Blazers first, Adams with the second..tempting for next year.

Re: Trade Idea Thread II
Jazz fan here. I just posted this idea in the another thread. Would you guys do a Millsap/Kanter trade for Bledsoe/Jordan?
You would get your new C of the future to pair with Griffin. You wouldn't lose much on defense because Kanter can definitely hold his own, other than the few times where he gets lost on rotations. But he's only 20. But his offensive game is far and beyond what Jordan's is already. And he's an absolute beast on the boards. Kanter had a 17 point, 9 rebound, and 5 blocks game a couple nights ago. He'd be a 10/10 guy with starter minutes this year. You'd probably have the best frontcourt duo in the league in a couple of years.
You'd also get Millsap to have probably the best 6th man in the league to help with frontcourt depth. He's an unrestricted free agent, so you could lose him. But you'd be getting help for this year, and replacing the overpaid Jordan with Kanter's rookie contract.
The Jazz would get their long sought after PG of the future. We would build our team around Bledsoe/Favors/Hayward.
We could probably deal with Jordan's contract because we have a massive amount of money to spend this offseason, and for the next couple of years. Jordan would help make a scary defensive tandem with Favors.
What do you guys think?

Re: Trade Idea Thread II
Hi. Different Jazz fan here. How about Jefferson/Carroll for Bledsoe/Butler/additional contract?
Or, Millsap/Carroll for Bledsoe/Butler? Maybe the Jazz throw in one of their 2013 1st-round picks.
I like Kanter and think DAJ and Favors are slightly redundant.

Re: Trade Idea Thread II
Knick fan here, working on a 3 way trade idea, would the clips trade Lamar for Jason Kidd and Marcus Camby?
When Healthy Marcus can be a legit back up C, and Kidd brings championship experience and backcourt help (especially if you trade Bledsoe).

Clippers would laugh at both of those offers.
Burks + First(s) or Hayward + pick swap is the only thing that you guys have that I'll like.

No. We already have championship experience in our backcourt with Billups and Camby is never healthy.

Re: Trade Idea Thread II
I think a trade of Bledsoe, Butler and Odom to Utah for Jefferson and Hayward is possible.
Why for Utah?
They desperately need a long term PG. Bledsoe would go to Utah and put up all star numbers. I'm talking 18-20ppg, 5-6rpg, 7-8apg, 2.5-3spg and even 1-1.5bpg! Butler would provide them with a true SF that is a scorer. Odom would probably be upset about being there and would probably be waived. Utah has a log jam at PF/C anyways.
Why for Clippers?
They seem to be wanting a upgrade at C. I don't think Jefferson is the perfect compliment to Blake, I would prefer a C that stretches the floor, but I'm sure he would help. Hayward gives us a pure shooter that helps space the floor. This is definatly a win now move for the Clippers, since Jefferson could basically be a rental for the rest of the season and Hayward would only be under contract for one year after this season.
