Hopefully we see some more of this guy. I said before the season that Taylor could be a key to our season. He is the only guy on the team who is an elite level athlete. He is both fast and extremely quick. He can get to wherever he wants on the floor with very few people who can stop him.

Defensively he is like Velcro. He plays both the PnR and 1on1 defense at a high level. Here are some stats from Kansas that everyone should know

- Held opponents to 18.6% FG in ISOs
- Held PnR ball-handlers to 21.7% FG

Taylor is not without his shortcomings. He is a bit turnover prone due in large part to his decision making. The only way that will get better is through experience. He has a tendency to play TOO FAST sometimes which I think would actually be a good side effect of playing him.

It seems like the Nets are already writing this season off so why not play one of our most talented players. Players with Taylor's ability tend to figure things out faster then most players. If he does he can be a major factor come playoff time.

Alright, time to get stupidly overconfident:

I think we win, by like 7 points.

Good luck Nets. You have all your rotation guys, we don't.

That said Parker has the edge head-to-head. 14-7 against DWill all-time.

Spurs have won 18 of 19 vs Nets  Williams had averaged 25.8 points in a four-game stretch against San Antonio before being held to eight and 3-of-11 shooting in December.

If the Nets beat the Spurs it will be like the PG-13 movie when the good guy finally defeats the antagonist.

A victory today would be HUGE

I don't see a victory here unfortunately. We might hang with them for a quarter, be down by 6 at half, be down by 12 after 3, and then lose by double digits.

Sounds all too familiar?

Hopefully could be the big game we need to to get out of this funk. Even if we lose(high likelihood), as long as we show some damn effort it'll at least make me feel better.

Would be at this game if it wasn't for the incompetence of our FO/Coaching staff. Not dropping 200 dollars a ticket no matter how good the food is.

Tim Bontemps ‏@TimBontemps

Also forgot to tweet earlier that CJ Watson is a game-time decision with an undisclosed illness.

Trade Pending?

Will we finally get to see Tyshawn Taylor? He has the quickness to defend Parker.

For some odd crazy reason, I have a feeling we will win tonight.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
