Deron Williams out until post All-Star break
Nets announce Deron Williams is out for the next two games and won't return until after the All-Star break because of synovitis in both ankles.

Just until post All-Star break? That's a shame.

Whoa, isn't synovitis pretty bad, or am I thinking of something else?

Synovitis causes joint tenderness or pain, swelling and hard lumps, called nodules. When associated with rheumatoid arthritis, swelling is a better indicator than tenderness.
Injuries are the biggest part of his struggles then what you think.

...this sound familiar to anyone? like the same thing that ended brandon roys career? obviously ankles are different than knees but arthritis is arthritis and that is corrosive.

Didn't Bynum have synovitis in his knees too?
Arthritic joints...wow, not a good sign at all, especially in the long term.

Well, that's what happens when you play through a serious injury. He's sprained both ankles and did not properly let them rest.

It appears that the diva's ankles can't handle the strain of having to support all of the weight that comes from the fat around his gut.

According to Sarah Kustok: They planned this apparently since the beginning of the season but it worse. He's getting a blood plasma injection and cortisone shots in his ankles. Mainly the bone spurs ankle.

Sweetest victory when we win, and he doesn't play. We'll beat the Nuggets next game as well #FreeTyshawn

Is that the infamous Shameer? Sup man?
Tyshawn TyTayNIUM Taylor.
Taylor is just the type of player who can stay with a fast PG like Lawson. Ive been calling for this kid to play since the preseason.

Lol, the one and only..... unfortunetely. How you been? Primarily the reason I say so, once Lawson if getting into the paint, Nuggets are hard to stop. I love what I saw tonight from him. Was a ugly game, but we grind it out and won it.

Re: Deron Williams out until post All-Star break
Dollar Bills is trolling but Deron should REALLY look into cutting his body fat down and really paying attention to his diet Steve Nash style. He's declining much faster than he should and he always has nagging injuries. That extra weight isn't helping him.
Sadly, he didn't play tonight and we barely missed him. Not a good sign for our max contract PG. Hopefully this rest does him good and he comes back fresh after the break. We should send him to Germany.

Re: Deron Williams out until post All-Star break
I must be blind, because I really don't see where this "Deron is overweight" or "Deron is fat" stuff is coming from...he just played in the Olympics, pretty sure his conditioning isn't an issue. Just based on the off-season pictures, he looked MUCH better than he did last year.
And one game in which Indiana played terrible doesn't really change anything, it was quite obvious that our offense struggled BIG TIME without him in there, regardless of how passive he's been.
I mean, I think he deserves criticism too, but let's keep the criticism on the rational side of things...he obviously still means a lot to the team, and I'm pretty sure the excessive amount of basketball he's played for the last 2 years without really any break are why he's always injured, not because of conditioning issues. If you think about it, the last 2 offseasons weren't really offseasons for him...he played overseas during the lockout, and the lockout-shortened season was brutal in general for everyone, and then he played in the Olympics last offseason, and then actually came in early for training camp. And it's not like his minutes are down this year despite his injuries, he's still playing 36+ mpg.
None of that would apply to a guy that's out of shape.

What's up Shameer?
Let Tyshawn play, tell the fat, overpaid tub of lard to sit down and rest his poor, frail ankles.

This guy has not been a max player throughout the duration of being the centerpiece of this franchise. Every year it's a fricking excuse. When we first got him, it's his wrist. Last year, oh his team sucked so that gave him a pass to check out mentally for like 90% of the season. This year, oh his poor wittle ankles are messed up from so much basketball.
No more excuses.
Until he gets his act together, shows leadership, and plays up to the amount of money he swindled this desperate franchise out of, he will get his back kicked in.

as far as im cocnerned he can take all the time needs...it was so refreshing watchign taylor compete on defense and care about winning in gerneal. he took over in overtime.
our pick and roll defense was 1000 times better with him on the floor instead of dwill

Re: Deron Williams out until post All-Star break
After watching Tyshawn last night, Deron can take all the time off he needs. Maybe it will inspire Deron, maybe Tyshawn will become our #2 point guy off the bench, maybe Ty will never have that type of game again... who knows. All I know is that this team needs a jolt, and seeing Tyshawn work AND EARN the point position was amazing.
What was also amazing was seeing Crash step up and be the leader of this team. That guy is an animal. I loved how he talked to Ty at the end of the game right before he began his interview (would Deron ever have done that???). I also liked how he yelled at Marshon about complaining for a no call at one point instead of playing while the ball was still live.
#Crash4Captain
I want to see Wallace embrace this role, I don't care if he's doing it visibly like he did last night or behind the scenes. But he's trying to be what Deron cannot be.
