The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale (April 13th)
http://www.5thround.com/138523/demetrio ... 17-finale/
Announced Fights:
Miesha Tate vs. Cat Zingano
Daniel Pineda vs. Justin Lawrence.
Bart Palaszewski vs. Cole Miller
Travis Browne vs. Gabriel Gonzaga
TUF 17 Finalist vs. TUF 17 Finalist
John Moraga vs. Demetrious Johnson (UFC flyweight champion)
Seems strange having a title fight on a TUF finale. Also have the 2nd scheduled women's fight.

Re: TUF 17 Finale (Johnson vs. Moraga FLW Title)
Edited title. That's fairly big news.
Really glad Moraga is getting the shot, if only to avoid recycling fights already in the FLW division. In any division I usually like to see a challenger get at least 2 wins before getting another shot at the champ. Even if Benavidez might be better than Moraga, it's much more interesting to me to see Johnson take on all comers as the champ.
I'm sure I've made exceptions that I've forgotten about, but I don't remember being too happy about the Bendo/Edgar rematch, nor will I be stoked to see Cain/JDS fight for the 3rd time in less than 2 years if it goes down.
The 2nd ever women's fight is news too, I guess.

Tate at a weigh-in is always quite nice.
She has a wonderful bottom, you see.

Agreed. Sounds like Benavidez was iffy on whether he wanted it. Could have factored in, but the end result is better than such a quick rematch.

****...go Benavidez/Moraga for the shot?
Depends how bad Johnson's injury is I guess. Moraga may also want to keep the guaranteed title shot, though with how little the flyweights are paid, even as champ/in title fights, it might be better to just get a fight in.

LOL
But it's just a TUF Finale, it's about his level. There'll be no countdown or anything.

Gets people to actually log on. UFC knows they have to make it worth while.

Re: The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale (April 13th)
Oh right, Robert McDaniel is Bubba. Haha, he's the only other TUF fight on FX! That's a lot of second chances. Josh, Dylan, Clint, and Luke all looked much better.
Gilbert, his opponent, was the dude with the crazy physique...and without the shirt. He far from earned that himself, IIRC.

Re: The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale (April 13th)
Bubba vs. Gilbert is literally the least interesting fight on the card. How does it get a spot on the FX broadcast?

Re: The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale (April 13th)
Bart/Miller have a combined 8 post-fight bonuses. It's probably going to be a good, close fight. Would not surprise me one bit if it's the FOTN, but bonuses seem slanted towards the main card. It really sucks for them... they each took a tough fight but FB prelims are usually ignored by the company, even if the fight is solid. Lose, lose for them.
