The Clippers finally return home after their long Grammy road trip. They started off bad, but finished up at .500 going 4-4 after two dominant wins @ Knicks and @ 6ers. Good to have Chris Paul and co. back and playing at a high level again.
Houston is currently sitting in 8th in the West, while LA is 4 1/2 back of the 1 seed

Good luck charm:

hey since you posted hakeem's pic, i just want to say that olajuwan was the best center i have ever seen with y own eyes. his NBA finals performance against shaq's magic team was truly amazing. i believe it was the second of their back to back but their first finals win of that decade started with stanley roberts and the clippers pushing them to the limit in the first round.

my list of all time best centers ( i have only seen old and diminished kareem, so he doesn't count. never seen bill russell or wilt) i have seen live

1. hakeem
2. shaq ( in his younger years, he was very agile as well as strong)
3. duncan ( he is not PF. he is a center. only years he actually played PF was when robinson still played)
4. ewing
5. robinson
6. moses malone
7. the Chief! aka robert parish
8. brad daughterty
9. dikembe mutumbo
10. stanley roberts ( i am always gonna be biased for this dude. he was a shaq stopper in his heyday)
ehhhhh f it.

Rockets did us a favor by beating GSW tonight. Harden sprained an ankle but returned. However, I just saw on NBA tv that he won't play tomorrow.

Harden is doubtful for tomorrow night's game after spraining his ankle tonight against the Warriors.

Hakeem is the second best player that i've been able to witness for a good portion of his career. Although, there's a current player who will almost certainly take that spot.

I personally put Duncan (who I agree has played center for the majority of his career) over Shaq. Shaq was the more physically dominant player with a higher peak, but Duncan is just a savant. I'd take Duncan's character, leadership and consistency over Shaq any day of the week. That's not a total slight to Shaq who I have despised (Orlando was my east coast team growing up who he left to join none other than that other LA team), but I'll still give him credit where it is due (have him about 9th all-time). Tim was a winner from day one. Shaq's discipline (or lack thereof) is what I feel hurts him the most. He did a whole lot throughout his career, but could have done even more if he got out of his own way.

Stanley Roberts had his moments! He was a beast but only moments and far apart lol. Still I loved to see Elmore Spencer play. His facial expressions were so entertaining. I loved to watch Brian Williams play. He was abeast at times. Still the Best we have ever had is Jordan. And the healthiest!

stanley roberts out of college was the ****! if anybody is old enough to remember, shaq had to sit his ass down until big stanley left college for NBA for shaq to have an opportunity to start at LSU. shaq couldn't play his game against stanley in his first few years in NBA either, until stan ate himself out of the league. i still love the guy. i have said this numerous times Im sure, but i will never forget stanley's dunk on hakeem during the 1st round playoff game way back when and i can proudly say i was there at the sports arena to witness it in person. it brought the house down!

Shaq still mentions "the great" Stanley Roberts every now and then.

The first game that I ever went to was in 1993 against the Magic. It was Shaq's 2nd season and Penny's rookie year. Shaq got off as expected, but Elmore Spencer more than held his own. In a winning effort, he had 16 points, 14 rebounds and 3 blocks.

The funniest thing was that there were 2 women that were screaming their heads off for Scott Skiles for the entire game.

In the 2011 draft, Chandler Parsons was one of the players that I was intrigued by. I did expect him to be drafted before we picked, but he ended up going right after our 37th pick (Trey Thompkins). He probably wouldn't have gotten the same opportunities that he's getting in Houston, but damn he'd be a nice player to have on this roster.

Apparently, they are very good friends :eyebrows:

I think they played AAU together. If you follow either of them on Twitter, they often throw little playful jabs at each other.

Delfino will take Harden's place in the starting line-up.

As usual, we have to guard the 3.
