Jazz & Blazers reach agreement

UTA sends Mike Conley (7,305,786) and Meyers Leonard (2,126,520) total (9,332,306) to
POR for Greivis Vasquez (1,191,240) and Robin Lopez (4,899,293) Total (6,091,532)

Portland is at $49.8M and can absorb the 3.240,774 trade difference - deal works under CBA.

The Jazz hate to move Mike Conley, though his PER and overall game was the worse of the PG available in this deal (Vasquez & Geo Hill), but he has alway been a favorite. And Meyers is an intriguing big who has much more athleticism than Lopez. However, we do get more cap space to use in retaining our FA targets and we get the 2 best performers in this deal. Robin Lopez has strung together several productive seasons together - with a PER over 20 at this point and Greivis has hit his stride and has shown he can really run an offense in the Association. (Calderon who can use his size on D) Great dealing Sterncohen. We both get our targets in this win win deal. Thanks

Portland confirms. Like Conley - George - Ibaka as the nucleus of a really tough defense.

Approved

Why for Milwaukee? Booker is 3rd string, and whilst he has some decent upside, we prefer the cash savings into next year.

Celtics agree. Hate to lose an expiring, but Booker will be a decent big off the bench.

$28,542,628 x 1.25 + .1 = $35,778,285

Knicks accept.

It's hard parting ways with this many assets, but Westbrook is the second best point guard in the league behind Chris Paul, and we think Stephen Jackson and Kendrick Perkins are great veterans to put around him.
We accept. Russel has a top 10 PER in the NBA so its hard to part with what was clearly thebest backcourt but i felt this move balanced out my team a bit more. good dealing NY

Wow, four of my favorite players are being moved here.

Good dealing guys

Doron Lamb is a young dude with a bright future. He fits my youth movement well plus I like money.

Clippers trade: Blake Griffin($7,226,892) + Jason Terry($5,000,000) + Chauncey Billups($4,000,000) + Grant Hill($1,957,000) + Matt Barnes($854,389) + Ryan Hollins($854,389) + Trey Thompkins($762,195) + 2016 LAC 1st(unprotected) + 2016 LAC 2nd(unprotected) + $3m in cash = $22,029,865 X 1.25 = $27,537,331

Wow. I think I'm overpaying..but really can't pass up the chance to pair Rubio/Blake for the future. People may look at Blake's raw numbers and think he hasn't improved much...but he's playing less minutes and playing smarter overall, including being a good defender now. His WS/48 numbers represent that he's a superstar, and he has a good case for being the best PF in the nba at only 23.

Clippers accept, we hate losing Griffin and lob city, Griffin was our young superstar who will be a top 5 player in the league very soon, but felt this trade helped out out right now. We do not know what impact this ill have in re-signing CP3 in the offseason but hope it brings us a lot closer in doing so. We do kno pek is a restricted free agent and depending how close we are to the max salary after taking into account CP3 potential extension we would like to bring him back. The prize in the trade for me is Batum who I love and gives me a lot more options with my lineup

Daaaaanggg....

LA Lakers in:
Marcus Thornton: $7,525,000 / $8,050,000 / $8,575,000

I wasn't a believer in Thaddeus Young at all until this season. I always thought he was a tweener forward who chucked too much and couldn't rebound. Before his injury a couple weeks ago, he was averaging 15 points and 7 1/2 rebounds a game, shooting well over 50% from the field and he's cut out the three chucking he did earlier in his career. Thornton has dropped from a 20ppg scorer to a 12ppg scorer this year, causing me to question his true ability. Young, while his contract is rather big, is also a nice fit on this roster. Good dealing LA!

We accpet. Thorton can go off for 30 at any given time and it never hurts to have a guy like that on ur roster as a 6th man or starter.

I love this deal. I love the idea of reuniting Mo Harkless and Mike Dunlap, plus I think Andrew Nicholson can be a legit big man in the near future. I clear a lot of cap here as well. Great offer, stern!

Yep, Minny accepts as well. Despite my general determination not to team Love up with any headcases after his reaction to them last year, in this case I think its a hard working headcase from a big time winning franchise. Besides which Adelman was the first coach to reach Metta, and I simply could not resist pairing he and AK47 up at SF -- if I want to lock a guy down, I've got the horses.

BTW, the contracts are identical. I think both signed the same MLE deal a few years back.
