Which asset? We're not giving up anything and with Drummond's injury we could use a serviceable big. Low cost/ decent reward.
It's a trade you must do unless you have another plan for that roster spot because in reality that's all you're giving up here a roster spot.

The Spurs were looking for a first round pick before. I have no clue what they were asking for now. I'm guessing BG's TPE and a future lotto protected first was the going rate if reports were true. There is no need for Blair here. Sorry guys.

Obviously not a 1st round pick since we can't trade one.

It was Maxiell for Blair and Booner + SA 1st. Booner has a 1 million cap hit next season if waived.

Pistons can actually trade a future pick like LA did when they acquired Nash. They traded two future firsts for him so it is possible but not smart for a team like the Pistons.

Jason Maxiell isn't worth a first round pick. Hate to break that, I also don't see the Spurs giving up Blair, a pick, and bonner (who is useful to them in a limited sense) for Maxiell who would be basically a fourth big for them. There is no salary cap relief there either. I'm sure if SA offered it that Joe D would wet himself and say yes in a new york minute. I don't believe that was the offer for one second. It probably was Blair and a pick for Knight since we just got Calderon.

Hate to break that but it wasn't me who posted that trade idea, was a neutral fan ( loserX, a Jazz fan iirc) who happen to be a trades and transactions moderator and knows a hell lot of about teams needs and players value than you in my opinion
