The Lakers actually moved Bynum @ just the right time. I have absolutely no idea what is going to happen with him this summer and where his career is headed... but it is obviously murky.

When I look at your payroll next year it is hard to see how you improve the team enough to compete with OKC.

I think you have to throw both Howard and Gasol on the block. Your salary next season is 78 million without Howard.

With the way your coach wants to play you can only have one none shooter on the floor so I think you at least have to decide between Gasol/Howard if not trade them both.

I would not hesitate to trade Dwight Howard. Howard is an athlete not a high skill guy. The injuries mount.. the athleticism suffers... and as they say you got Kosta Koufos on a long-term max deal.

I would seriously re-tool around Kobe for the next year or two. And if that doesn't work you've got to trade/amnesty Bryant. Because Kobe isn't going to take more seasons like this... at some point he'll go off the rails... because he is a competitor.

It's a bad idea in theory to make big deals before these guys ever get to gel. But Howard is a long term injury issue who is going to command a lot of dollars... so I think you've got to seriously consider moving him.
I like my prospects the same way I like my women... foreign- pickIBL

D'Antoni wanted Anthony gone because he didn't fit his system, so this isn't a shock. He likes having guys around that can play his style of basketball. You pay the coach the big bucks, so I don't blame them completely for feeling that he should have the right pieces.
