Hawks interested on Brandon Jennings??

Post#1 » by gurpilo » Wed Feb 13, 2013 8:05 pm

http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/226095/Source-Jennings-Has-Irreconcilable-Differences-With-Bucks

Brandon Jennings has "irreconcilable differences" with the Milwaukee Bucks, according to one source.

Jennings is frustrated that he was unable to come to terms with the Bucks on a long-term extension, according to sources.

Jennings is also interested in playing in a bigger market.

The Bucks would be able to match any offer sheet Jennings signs this offseason should they not trade him.

Jennings recently changed agents and either wants to be traded before the deadline, or to sign an offer sheet with a rival team in the summer that is difficult for the Bucks to match.

The Dallas Mavericks, Orlando Magic and Atlanta Hawks are viewed as the three most likely destinations for Jennings.

It really surprised me, I don't think he is an upgrade over Jeff, his shooting percentages are not good and I think he would command more money than Jeff, I would still prefer to stay with Jeff by 8M$ a year, thoughts?

I'll stick with Teague.
Where the offseason has more buzz happens.

I view Brandon Jennings as a slight upgrade over Jeff Teague, but not enough to warrant a change.

Jennings can create his own shot better than Teague, but JT0 is a better distributor and quarterback.

I believe Jennings will garner a top dollar deal based on his scoring. But he shoots abysmally from the field, and if we can re-sign JT0 to $10-$12 million he's a better value.

NOTE: Jeff Teague is avg 20/10 in games when Josh doesn't play. So when given the extra shots and responsibility, I believe he can match Jennings' scoring. At least occasionally.

I wouldn't go as far as to call him a scrub. Geez.

He isn't a upgrade over Jeff though, and Jeff will be cheaper(for some reason) than Jennings.

Jennings has always intrigued me though. I simply can't understand how a guy can be a competent three point shooter, trash from the midrange and trash at the rim. Like, he really can't finish consistently ANYWHERE on the court.

I like jeff teague. I think he better than jennings. Jennings puts up less assists and lower shooting percentages all around. Jennings shoots less than 40%! I would much rather stick with Teague. Last thing we need is a low percentage chucker.

I agree with the consensus: I'll stick with the cheaper better Teague

Jennings has a big negative impact when on the floor this season, and last season was the same.
More than 9pts lost on 100 possessions which, at this level, is a big problem.

I would consider any trade for Sanders or Ilyasova, even Dunleavy or Udrih, before considering a trade for Jennings.

I doubt much positive gain would be achieved by acquiring Brandon Jennings. I prefer to stick with Jeff Teague until a more suitable options is available for us.

I'm thinking if Teague gets a big offer somewhere else and Jennings comes cheaper, then that would be our interest. IDK
