Well I don't fully agree that he hasn't run an offense well consistently. But you make a decent point nonetheless. For me to be right, Brandon's next four years will have to be more consistent and he'll have to take the next steps. He's not there yet.

Definite flashes though. Brandon has been slumping but before that, he was a consensus *contender* for a guard spot on the All-Star team. So this idea that he is horrible or has played horribly is not quite right.

So was JR

Maybe. But because the Knicks had a good record. JR is shooting terribly all around at present. But he's had a mediocre season at best. Probably worse than that.

JR is talented. Maybe BJ will also end up making little of his talent, the way JR has. I'm not betting my house on BJ but I like his upside.

Hedo Turkoglu of the Orlando Magic has been suspended without pay for twenty games for violating the terms of the NBA/NBPA Anti-Drug Program by testing positive for methenolone, it was announced today by the NBA.

Turkoglu's suspension will begin Wednesday when the Magic play host to the Atlanta Hawks at Amway Center.

Hearing Knicks pursuing Ridnour.

Good move. I asked for this in the Wolves post-game thread I believe. Thanks for listening Grunnie.

I think his NBA career is over. Last year is only partially guaranteed. I am pretty sure Orlando will not pick up that option. I don't see anyone giving him more than the minimum and the dude is too lazy to play for that amount. Plus he can probably get a better contract in Europe.

Would you rather have jennings on the bench knowing how he feels personally about his game, or take a flyer on Jonny Flynn who would want to revive their career?

Never been a fan of Flynn. I just don't think he has what it takes to succeed in the NBA. I'd go BJ and if he has attitude problems we wash our hands of him in the offseason. I believe that on a true contender and surrounded by respected vets, he'd fall in line.

I can't see his talent increasing just because an environment change.

I dont care for Flynn at all, but I'm only tossing it out in comparison of a bench role.

jennings will not accept a bench role.

I'm not saying his talent will increase...I'm saying that we'd drop him to the Bayless off the bench gunner role that he belongs in in the NBA. You can say "BJ won't accept a bench role" but at the end of the day, he's in the final year of his contract and if he makes noise he'll hurt his value. You're also discounting the impact that surrounding him with Chandler, Melo, Amare and others would have...What influences has he had in Milwaukee in terms of peers? The other piece of interest here is that BJ WANTED to be a Knick, he was pissed we passed him up. I think he'd LOVE it in NY, on a team with a legitimate shot and playing with next level talent.

Flynn isn't comparative because he's not as talented. Had you said Delonte West, I'd think twice. However, if BJ could be had for nothing...even if he didn't work out, I would like having him as a RFA for sign and trade purposes.

It's low risk and high reward. If BJ buys in and comes off the bench...We have lightning quick, instant offense that can run the pick and roll effectively for 20-30 mpg. We get an asset in the offseason too. If he hates it, makes a bunch of noise and is useless...we haven't lost much on the roster and it's still possible to turn his RFA status into a net gain...even if it's just a Trade Exception and a second rounder.

He has a ton of potential. Look at Gay thriving in Toronto (makes me nervous)...move Jennings to the right place (role) and you've got a great piece.

You can say that about most players in the league. He's been around long enough to get his act together.

Gay is the same exact player he was in Memphis, he just gets to shoot more now

His #'s are identical across the board except points and attempts

The SuperDuper Bulls team that has people here shaking in their boots is getting trashed again tonight. This time by the Celtics without half their roster. But they're a "good" team. Right.

Luke Ridnour sucks. Couldn't defend his own shadow.

None of our guards can.

At least Luke can run an offense
