Bucks offered Jennings in a JJ trade. Hennigan said no. Smart.

Unless Harkless and/or a 1st is attached to that, what a stupid trade that would be for Milwaukee.

We will never agree on this backwards ass thinking (wasting young assets that have other trade value to eat up cap space with non-impact players so we don't sign someone in the future). It's a waste of keystrokes.

We are not the decision-makers though. You guys are talking about two different things. It's one thing to say "the Bucks shouldn't do it", as you're saying. It's another to say "I hope they do it because I know how it will turn out if they don't". You can root for it to happen without implying that it's what you would do if you were in charge.

I have no faith in Hammond not to mess this up.

I just ask what do we get with #13 or 19? not much and those players are middling too.

You have to take a chance/get lucky to have access to an impact player. Mayo is.

You have a dwindling asset for the next 8 days. Take a shot at relevance. Those other players you
can get anytime. Now if were talking a top 5 pick with a shot at an Oladipo, you roll with that. Under new CBA those are gold though even harder to get.

If you always have an inferiority complex you'll never get anywhere anyways. You have to believe you can keep someone if they can see you up close.

The teams we would be trading with turn down both of those deals before we would. And there's no way were getting a top 5 pick for either Ellis or BJ. I would be estatic with either one...

I agree none of this will happen - just something to talk about :D. But in this fantasy talk I like the Mayo shot. Maybe Mayo being ufa is as worthless as RFA Jennings with his rooster act. Highly doubt it but I take it if so cause Jennings isnt worth much.

Too bad because with a guy like Andre Miller around and a wing guy that can fill it that Jennings respects he could turn into a real good consistent PG with a little hand holding.

Yep I'd do it. Beno is a "solid" PG well have (like every year) a mid/late 1st rounder. Look where were at.

So you'd rather have just Mayo than Teague and either the ATL/BKN 1st rounder if you could pick one?

Yep. I'm not a merry go round fan :D

JJ Redick is...

1 - A better basketball player than Jennings
and
2 - Likely to be paid less next season

Given those two things, I don't see why it's the Magic that would have to put more into a deal. Sure, Chad Ford inexplicably believes that Jennings is a young player you can build around, but didn't we all just laugh about that? I already posted the Dwyer article. Lowe's tidbit about Jennings came out earlier in the week. So while some in the national media are still utterly clueless about Jennings, I''m more inclined to believe that teams have an accurate understanding of what Baddy is.

I agree with the Journal-Sentinel's take on this situation.

Redick is better now, but has reached his ceiling and is a UFA. I have a hard time agreeing to any deal of Jennings for players we have no control over (I realize we have his Bird rights, but he's still UFA). I just think Redick gets overpaid this offseason too, but we'll see.

I wouldn't be happy at all with a Jennings for Redick deal straight up.

I think so, but then again, he can't do any worse than Jennings

Really, who cares? It's tankfest from here on out.

I'm not so sure about that. It seems Brandon and Monta are actively sabotaging the team at least half the time, whether intentional or not. There aren't a lot of guys on the team who can create their own shot, but I'd like to see what a lot of players can do with better ball movement and more touches.

Yuck to the Suns! Gortat and Dragic are nothing special! Gortat does not really upgrade our front line and Gortat is a down grade in my opinion!

Baddy is better than JJ when he wants to be. Of course thats the problem. But you just need one dreamer to bite.

Add to this the perception of each team that they are dealing from a position of strength, and it's not likely the Bucks are going to be a clear winner in any deal. Which makes it more likely they'll hold on for too long and get stuck in an even worse position, whether that's making another bad "win-now" trade or overpaying on a term sheet.

Dwyer had it right when he listed all the things they won't be able to do if they overpay to keep him.

Thank god. This is the team we should be looking at. Go get Eric Gordon.

I think Jennings for Teague or Collison straight up is about what he's worth considering all the red flags with Brandon's temperament and personality. Brandon's only advantages over those two are quickness, which he doesn't utilize properly anyway, and more shot attempts, but we all know how that's turned out for the last 4 years.

I'd try to get more, but I'd do the deal pretty quick if Atlanta or Dallas hesitated. To be honest, I'd actually be terrified of them pulling the deal off the table. But I'd play poker with them and go for a pick or secondary asset.
