Mike Brown was on the Herd this morning and my first thought was instantly, "F, this is the guy we're going to get stuck with if all the guys we want spurn us or we waste too much time trying to convince Phil, he spurns us and our other targets find jobs elsewhere."

I don't like Brown at all. He's a solid coach, an awesome assistant in fact, but I think he's a guy who's ultimate success is much more limited to his talent then he is a guy who get's the most out of what he's given.

His offense is boring and bland and uninventive.

My semi-realistic list goes:

1. Phil
2. Addelman
3. SVG
4. JVG(eh...)
5. Calipari

Carlisle would be #2 on my list if by chance he was let go. Doc #4.

Honorable mentions to the Czar and Skiles.

Also please no to McMillan.

I agree with everything except I don't really want JVG at all.

Not only has he been away from the game for a while and has bashed a lot of players since he's been a commentator (which could create locker room turmoil) but I also think he talks a bigger game than he actually walks.

The top 3 of your list are guys that I'd really want even though Adelman is not available.

Everyone else ranges from 'meh' to 'no, i don't want this guy to coach'.

I even feel that Phil isn't really the best coach for THIS team because he's the type of guy you bring into make superstar talent fit well and get alpha males to not go overboard and demand too much from the team.

I believe SVG and Adelman could actually get the best out of our team.

Honestly? You want to know who my number 1 is, behind Phil? Bill Self.

Actually, I think you said it better then I did myself.

Have a lot of the same thoughts as you on Phil and JVG, that's why I put the "eh..." in parenthesis, along with his rather bland offense as well.

Addelman I think has a very good chance of being let go or even flat out asking for his own release immediately on completion of the season and that's why I have listed him lately.

Carlisle and Doc are incredible long shots, but you never know with Cuban and I couldn't remember if Doc has only 1 year left on his deal after this or if he just inked an extension and was too lazy to google it haha. If he only has 1 year left on his deal and the Celts go total rebuild I can see him being let go as a mutual decision though.

That's actually a really interesting name. I'm not a big fan of college coaches in the NBA and was hesitant to put Calipari on there, but Self is really really good.

Coach K is a guy I still think could be the guy Proky throws an asston of cash at as well.

Brian Shaw is the guy I'd bring in if Jackson was made an executive.

Paul George has credited Brian Shaw as a main reason why he's having so much success this year.
